Well, They let Chris Ivory run for 166 yards while the Eagles had 163 yards in penalties called against them. The Dolphins then proceeded to go 0 for 12 on third downs and 0 for 4 on fourth downs

TL,DR: Yes.

 I'm definitely watching that.

So a bat in either direction is illegal in the endzone, but I don't really get why they can't review the play just because it's a subjective call on the field. I mean, it's very clear that it's an intentional bat by Wright, hence Detroit should've gotten the ball back where the fumble happened imo.

Very strange call at the end of last night and worrying when you consider that everything in American football is all carefully looked at and considered.

All touchdowns are reviewed and so I thought were all turnovers? So it's odd that they couldn't review this play last night.

Seattle defense though is just plain nasty and despite getting off to a slow start that are still the kryptonite to the Packers offense!

Apparently this is a rule that no one had heard of and supposedly that's why it wasn't noted on field. Also according to some guy on Twitter, there wasn't enough of a batting motion for it to be illegal. So that settles that.

Also, when our offensive lineman comes up with the ball following a fumble against GB and it's called GB's ball, it's hard to give a shit.

Well there you go then... That settles that and makes it as clear as mud! :D these things do tend to work themselves out over the course of a season though as with most sports.

The thing that's really grinding my gears is the weak calls of defensive pass interference! You barely have to look at a receiver now and flags are flying. It's no wonder QBs like Fitz-Patrick and Cousins manage to have such long careers.

We could offset those long careers if they would actually start calling intentional grounding. The amount of times it's just thrown away to a place where there is no receiver and only called incomplete is ....to use this forum's favorite word: Embarrassing.

Wow Wilson looks immense in these hour long highlights. Our offensive line is just awful.

Was the D that good? They don't show defensive plays in highlights..

Don't get me started with that! And the protection they get! Makes me cross. Don't get me wrong some I guess you do want to be protected and you can't make a rule just for those but still...

Sherman had good coverage on Megatron for most of the game and Stafford got sacked multiple times in the first half iirc. Nothing special, but of course Kam's play at the end was huge. Seahawks only TD came through a play before the TD throw which Wilson shouldn't have been able to make, but he's great at such situations. The O-line was bad yesterday...

That was a fun read. There is one I missed though and I had the pleasure of watching this happen 'live' on TV and it was against the most hated team in my house.

I think it should be in there cause all he wants do to is act cool.

That's amazing.
Is that Ed Hoculi that announces the foul? He had a long career.

I just realized that Jim Brown was Jim Brown and that he has a record of 104 rush yards/game, that's amazing.

What is going on with the Texans. JJ Watt is not even figuring in discussions which just is not right... They still aren't done in that division but it's looking bleak for them.

A DE alone, won't get you far.

No I appreciate that... But he did wonders last year for them so in the division they are in I'd have thought the playoffs would have been achievable. As it stands they are going to have a very good draft pick instead.

They didn't even make the playoffs.

They didn't even make the playoffs.

No but a team that the previous season finished 2-14 or 3-13 and had the number one draft pick... And they finished 9-7 and were very much in the picture! With an awful QB and their draft pick out injured for the season. They've now got Clowney back and they've signed Wilfork so arguably one of the best D lines in football.

And yet, they are still struggling.

My point is, There's a limit to how far Justin James can take the Texans, you also need an offence.

I don't dispute that... But they are in a division with the woeful Jags, the Titans and the so far very underwhelming Colts. Defense wins games just look at Seattle.

Seattle has a great defense, Houston has a great defensive player. Besides, they also have Lynch and Wilson.

Their record in that trash AFC south actually suggests that you need a whole lot more than just a great defensive player. J.J Watt is arguably the best player in the league, but he doesn't influence the game enough, as his position limits him.

A great QB,WR or RB can take average/slightly above average players to the playoffs, heck, even the SuperBowl. A great DE, however, is incapable of pulling it off.

Good games on tonight. I'll give Redzone a go (but may end up watching either Seattle-Cincinnati or the Rams vs the Packers)
