I thought the Steelers D were better than I expected although their secondary needs work/rhythm. The mismatches Gronkowski creates is going to hurt every team.

Their D wasn't bad, just a few massive errors. Like on Gronk's first TD, you can see them preparing to like up at normal pace, Brady looks over to Gronk, sees they've left him completely clear and rushes the snap to get the ball to him before they catch on and shift some guys over.

I think the Pats D was hit and miss too(especially Butler), got caught too easily on the deep throw a few times, but some excellent goal line stands.

Last night's game basically confirmed my suspicions that Gronk is in fact the best player in the league right now.

Jimmy Graham, Tony Gonzalez, Antonio Gates, Jason Witten, Ozzie Newsome, Kellen Winslow, Shannon Sharpe, Mike Ditka have all done more than him at this point. He might one day be goat but he's nowhere near it now and he doesn't have the greatest injury history.

Jimmy Graham over Gronk?!

Thank you for the good sensible grown up football talk. This is the kind of thing that separates this thread from the rest of the forum.
Fair point. Im here checking stats. Gronkowski is ahead of Jimmy Graham in everything except receiving yards (300) having played most of a season less. Injury is the only reason to take Graham over Gronk.

Jimmy Graham wasn't a starter, look at individual seasons. I'm not saying Graham is more talented or better in the future, just that he's achieved more so far.
Gronk has started 55 games, Graham 50 games. Gronk 57 TD, Graham 51 TD. Gronk 3 pro bowls (2 all-pro), Graham 3 pro-bowls (1 all-pro). Both have played with HOF QBs. Other than receiving yards, I'm not seeing what Graham has achieved more. Its very close though.

Rob Gronkowski:
66 Games Played = 57 TDs

Jason Witten:
191 Games Played = 57 TDs

Jimmy Graham is clearly an inferior tight end to Gronk. I'm not sure how that's even arguable at the moment. Gronk is better at blocking, more touchdowns, has had better individual seasons than Graham.

Touchdowns are a flawed way of looking at it imo.
What is though? What are you basing it on? I get longevity and a distinguished career such as Gates & Gonazales but I'm not seeing much else that puts Gronk down the pecking order.

I agree that he isn't the GOAT in the same way the Aaron Rodgers isn't because he hasn't done it over the long period that Montana, Brady & Manning have, but he's definitely higher up than Jimmy Graham.

Anyone watched the new episode of The League?

Just watching it now, the pre-credit intro with Marshawn Lynch is brilliant

 Catching up on the Pats game, Edelman is such a dick mouthing off every time he makes a catch.

Gronkowski's better than Jimmy Graham. Just watch the two of them, that's all you have to do.

It's clear as day.

Graham's class, don't get me wrong.

But I remember him getting shut down by Talib at Foxboro two years' ago. Gronk would never get dominated by a db in single coverage like that.

So Sky are showing Packers @ Bears, do they have anything on red button for match choice or anything like that?

I'd quite like to watch Chiefs @ Texans.

SS3, only RedZone on the red button which will keep you up to date with the big plays and TD's.

And for anybody that might be interested, Pick are showing the Packers/Bears game on freeview.
