aspiring to be like Ryan Giggs
Hope they give it to our fellow red Mark Chapman, excellent presenter & journalist.

I quite like him on the radio, can take or leave him on the tv and it’s weird him being on Sky because I associate him with Aunty. He's awful, I keep seeing this opinion of him but I just don't see it.
He's incredibly annoying and there's nothing excellent about his presenting.

They might go a different direction as they will want to tap into a streamers demographic, mainly because you can get the goals on socials instantly.Needs to be someone wholesome with a warming presence. Find it difficult to think of a presenter that could do the job in the modern era that fits the requirement but basically a younger version of Des Lynam.
Funnily enough him, Martin O'Neill & Troy Deeney were joking about this on Friday on Talksport. They were all self aware enough to realise how much of a surprise to the nation that would be.Jim White?

If it's not Mark Chapman it will be because of politics.
If they go for or woman I’d go for Isa Guha. She’s a brilliant sports presenter, has that charm & home on the couch style, and would be a massive hit I reckon.I thought Alex Scott got mentioned? Can definitely see a female getting it.

A thousand times yes. He's mint. How about James Richardson aka Jimbo?
Linekar mentioned the programme is going in a different direction after 2026 so wouldn't be surprised if it will be Roman Kemp. With YouTubers as guest analysts along resident pundit, Stephen Warnock.
Yeah exactly, I mean he's the obvious stand out candidate, he's done a superb job on MOTD2 - if you're talking about the best candidate, it's clearly him. Politics might be the wrong term but surely it's his to turn down unless they want to make a certain statement with the appointment. What politics?
He already presents MotD2, doesn't he?
