All I can say to that is 'lol'.
I had to give up my ST when I split with my partner and the only time I could see my child was at weekends. So it was a straight choice between continuing to go to matches or literally never seeing my child, ever. Obviously I chose the latter.
For three painful seasons I held onto my ST in the hope that I could sell tickets on whilst going to the odd game where I could. Couldn't sell them to anyone. Unless it was City, Liverpool, Arsenal or Chelsea. Sold those in minutes. Any other fixture, forget it.
Used to advertise them at work (for perspective, I worked in an office with over three thousand people in it), I was on four different United ticket selling groups on Facebook. Face was £42, I would offer them as low as £20 or even £15 at times. Really great seat and view as well. No-one wanted to know. Oddly enough, the people who snapped my hand off for the big games 'couldn't make it' when it was any other fixture. Time and time again they 'couldn't make it'. Funny how that works. All these people that reckoned they were such big fans shrunk into the woodwork when presented with a chance to see the team they claimed to be such a big fan of. I'm not bitter about it at all, honest
I could barely afford to pay for all these tickets in the first place and I definitely couldn't justify losing so much money so eventually I gave it up.
