Who would you like to see come to OT when the transfer window opens. Should he be on the bench competing with RVN for the place or should he be a new partner for RVN?

We should have four strikers, none of whom should be guaranteed a place, but all of whom should be striving to perform to the utmost ability, thus justifying selection.

:)

We should have a special forum for transfers, and the five-hundred threads on this subject.

Oh wait ;)

Maybe you should buy a striker coz Ruud will leave you! :p

When are you coming to Holland?
Then I'll fix my bike so you won't hear, but only feel it coming <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" />
Hahaha, BTW You can't smell it coming <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" />

would it make any difference if I could? Time will tell. Players are forever saying one thing and doing another. What possible lure is there for Ruud to go back to PSV?

He really liked everything overhere. He has always said MU is his dreamclub, but coz he had such a great time at PSV he wants to return to us and be of some value to give us someting in return for all the support he got.

which will be in the form of a testimonial match when he's 50! <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" /> :p

OHO! <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" />
But I think he will celebrate his 30th birthday in Manchester...
But afterwards... :D

If that is true PSV it won't be for some years yet unless he is a complete and utter economic idiot.

Ruud said last week that he wants to end his career at Old Trafford.

Where did he say that? One of your "I lie in the bushes to find a story and if I can't find a story I'll make something up"-newspapers?

PSVInside is a really reliable magazine which had an exclusive interview with Ruud. And I'm sure Ruud will end his carreer at PSV, but you can enjoy him for quite some years!

Doesn't matter who as long as it's a striker who can play with the other three. We need to be able to interchange.

I don't agree Livvie. I think we work best with a strike partnership. Cole/Yorke, Yorke/Teddy etc. I think Ruud is crying out for a foil and the team is crying out for someone who can score headers from corners or crosses. Dare I say it but Shearer springs to mind now that he's dropping deaper these days.

I don't disagree with that. Just saying that we need a striker who can play with all three - otherwise there's an automatic problem if Ruud is injured or off form.

And let's not forget that when given the chance last season - ie a decent run - Ruud and Ole scored more goals than any other pairing in Europe.

(Where in Hampshire are you?)

There's been all kinds of rumours on the various sites I visit, including Fowler, Gudjonssen, Shevchenko, Beattie, Ronaldhino, Tristan etc. I only hope he doesn't get someone who plays too much like Ruud. Then there is the question of cash of course.

Hahaha, Pedro! Our multi-langual Chilian who thinks he can play soccer as well when he's wearing a suite and in this wants to impress two gilrs who are watching a training!
Hahaha!
Pedro is cool and doesn't want trouble <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" /> That's why he's saying it. And words out of context? Ruud has said he wants to return to PSV, he didn't say he will return at the end of his contract in 2005. That's the point which is out of context...

About the topic itself.
Like I already said, Ruud needs someone to pull the attention away. The same type of player wouldn't be a real big problem, coz he can do that as well. For example Kluivert. Ruud and Kluivert are both strikers who can wait a whole match for just one moment. But when they play together at NL, it works quite well...

Who is he? Thats ages away anyway, who know's who'll be the next big star then, it might even be a front line up of Fabien Brandy and Sylvan Ebanks-Blake.

KJ is our new star for the future. He might be the first youth player since ages making the step from the PSV youth team to the first team.
He is 18 years old and said to be a great talent.
A few weeks ago against RBC he made his debut.

Just watched MUTV and Alex said that he tried to get a striker in the Summer, but he did so well in the WC that the club decided not to sell him. There were hints that January might bring a new striker though.
