New 'Four Lions' Trailer

Hope it's good. The clip of them singing along to Toploader made me laugh uncontrollably for some reason.

Yeah, and the bloke blowing himself up along with a single sheep.

I've always thought there's something inherently funny about suicide bombing - I mean obviously it's horrific and I don't mean to etc., but it's also so slapstick. And so final. It's taking the toddler's "I'm going to hold my breath till I get my way" gambit to the next level.

That said, I'm too much of a coward to watch this film in the cinema...

I really hope they haven't loaded all the good lines into the trailer. Like Mike, the Toploader bit made me grin from ear to ear, for no real reason at all.

"We're way beyond crows now."

I'd be slightly concerned about laughing out loud at something inappropriate during the film, while the rest of the cinema stays silent, all the while judging me. I reckon this film's going to have a few of those moments.

The best comedy does.

The downside is that people will say the word 'Swiftian' a lot in the Guardian.

Looks promising.

So long as they haven't stuffed all of the good bits into the two minute trailer.

The clip of them singing along to Toploader made me laugh uncontrollably for some reason.
It had me laughing uncontrollably because that very song is the song my sister & I had to endure in the cab to the airport when we were going home for our dad's funeral, and we were too polite to ask the driver to turn it off.
So it's become our 'The world is ending, and here's some moron singing about 'everybodys feeling warm and bright''-tune. (Whatever *that* is!)

Somehow Chris Morris just *knew* that silly song had that quality about it, I want to imagine.

Pure genius.

Song was the least funny part of it really...you're all wierd.

The rest of it looked absolute quality. Come on Morris!

!

feck me, that was so much better than just the one scene... Good and weird as that was, it was a bit The Office-y.

But this seems incredibly promising.

I love Chris. He can do no wrong.

Grow a pair Plech. Arsenal have more balls than you, honest to god, Arsenal.

Being brave doesn't make you like The IT Crowd...

Obviously not, it's shit. You should probably go to see the film at the cinema though. I hope I don't get ironically blown up at a Vue now. If I do I'll blame you.

I can't picture getting ironically blown up. I can just about picture getting ironically blown...though only by this Yorkshire lass I used to work with, who had both a very sharp wit, and an immense, unconstrained appetite for cock... I haven't thought of her for ages...

Hmm... right, see you later lads.

Saw this today. Thought it was pretty good - the scene with the police snipers was hilarious.

Want to see this. Loved the clip of them getting hold of a shedload of bleach. Had me in stitches.

Yeah it's not in the same league as Brass Eye. It's actually surprisingly 'safe', for a comedy about Islamic terrorism anyway.

Can I watch this safely without some Muslim Terrorist blowing the cinema up?

(Read: where's the film showing in Lahndahn?)

I saw the film in Park Royal / Acton, which is an area of London with a very large Muslim population. The cinema was practically empty.

[As an aside, I went with a few mates, one of whom is Muslim and she loved it.]
