K Stand Knut's team has a great defence.
DanNistelrooy i stood up for your team. I told MalteseRedDevil to settled down a bit. dont forget that. You owe me.
K Stand Knut's team has a great defence.
What's this now? Bribery!!!!
Disgraceful. Touchline ban!!!!
Well spotted.
The best left back in the draft. Coentrao
One of the top 3 Center backs Sakho
very Solid and Experienced partner Lovren
Highly rated right back Vrajsko
Bulgaria International Keeper and Dutch league champion 2010 and going into title decider next Sunday with 1 point lead. Mihaylov
i would rate k stand defence as the most solid of all the teams that played so far. on the other hand, look at barca who needs defence when your opponent has no ball.
Lets assume we would surrender possession, our team is very well equipped to hit our opponents on the break. Pace on both flanks, Eriksen capable of playing the early killer ball and Pastore who would be a threat in a counter attack situation.
Our full backs are no slouches either
Who is going to win you the ball in a first place to launch the counter?
DanNistelrooy has most impressive midfield but other units are just pure mediocrity.
Time running out :/
One final push.
Dan's team will struggle to score goals against a very strong defense. Only Jovetic can be considered a goalscorer.
capel is playing on the right!! hes a left winger!!
Kuzmanovic is not a defensive midfielder. He does not have the tactical nous or the energy to stay with pastore.
Eriksen showed in a recent international agianst england that he is a match for Wilshire
Rodwell is not a proven central defender.
Asamoah would psychically bully all of dan's midifelders.
Carlos Eduardo is a very talented left winger. his progress has stalled because of injury. Rubin Kazan would not pay 20 million for him unless he was a bit special.
How exactly are the likes of Wilshere and Pjanic (both with Chanpions League and International experience) going to be bullied by Asamoah. If Wilshere was the one doing the bullying against Barcelona's midfield then there is no reason why he wouldn't do it against Asamoah - where has the hype come around him? I was under the impression he was more attacking too.
Without being disrespectful I have never heard of Carlos Eduardo and a quick bit of research tells me he doesn't even get into Rubin Kazan's starting 11?
I think this game would be very low scoring. I don't see how you can claim my team would struggle to score goals but then have Bentder upfront? Close one this though!
Valentino, take notes on how to argue a point like these 2 above.
he has been injured, Hence his lack of game time.
Bendtner may not be some peoples cup of tea but he does score goals for arsenal when given the chance. He would play regularly and score for most mid table teams. He would certainly start in the bundesliga unlike derdiyok who is a reserve at leverkusen
Fair enough i thought it might have been down to injury. Even so, i don't think he has earnt the praise you have given him.
Derdiyok is a beast, he's there to hold the ball up and occupy your defence, from what I've seen of him he's good in the air and is a decent poacher. He's lost his place in the Leverkuson team this year but before he had a good scoring record (about a goal every 2/3 games) is better than Bendtners although admittedly the German league is weaker.
I'm still intrigued how you think Asamoah will dominate the likes of Wilshere. Your trio of Asamoah-Eriksen-Pastore is very exciting attacking wise, but there's not defensive minded player in there, i feel mine is more balanced
Asamoah plays in udinese's 3 5 2 system. he plays in one of the 2 central midfield roles. He does get forward occasionally but has to be disciplined cause he has to cover the forward runs of the 2 wing backs.
As you say derdiyok is strong in the air. but your team seems built to play the ball on the ground. both Jovetic and Capel will cut inside. Schemlzer is good defensivley but limited going forward. El mohammady would be his only supplier. Not sure about is ability on the ground. I only saw him play at the world cup when he got a game.
He is good in the air yes, his ability on the ground is fine. Without trying to rinse the Peter Crouch saying, "he's got good feet for a big man". He was decent in the World Cup, i remember him doing a mazy run against Spain, caused World champions trouble so i expect him to give your defenders a game - which in turn leaves gaps for Jovetic et al.
You can't be too confident with Jovetic against VRSALJKO on that left hand side?
Cheers to KStand and Maltese, close affair.
I do need some people's thoughts on who to pick/replace... My options are:
Derdiyok out - Pastore In: Derdiyok didn't prove too popular on here though i think he isn't a bad player at all. This would mean Jovetic playing up top by himself, can he do that?
As Maltese said Kuzmanovic out - Sakho In: Rodwell into midfield (though i prefer him as a centre back)
What do we think? I'm edging toward Pastore because I feel my defense is already pretty strong and Pastore will provide more of a goal threat. Would caftards be able to ignore a team with Wilshere, Rodwell, Pjanic, Jovetic and Pastore?
Yeah should be good, had to tighten my defense though against Chicharito et al. Who shall i send the tactics to? Dr Dwayne?
