I just saw it on the news. I presumed they had showed an old clip of him, because he was not running the last 10 meters or so. Just think how fast he could have gone had he raced till the end.
Just seen his record break on SSN. It didnt even seem to take much out of him and he even slowed down with 10m to go.

It's so common now a day's, it won't be to long until they just let everyone take drugs.
Maybe a compromise can be reached. If they stop taking steroids and stuff like that they will be allowed to leagally use cocaine and marijuana. Would they accept?

Cocaine and Marijuana wouldn't give any benefits to an athlete, and they're illegal drugs outside the sport anyway so I think the government would have something to say about it.
Javier Sotomayor the greatest High Jumper of all time was doing cocaine during his career. Maradona was also a cocaine addict during his playing career.
It's not so that the athletes would benefit from it when they run, but so that they could have some personal joy with taking cocaine and marijuana, and they agree on not taking any other drugs

Totally agree. His 9.79 in Seoul 88 (almost 20 years ago!) was so far ahead of the game, his easing down from 80m there cost him a low 9.7 run.
Really, there isn't a footballer out there who can run under 10 and a half seconds or so.
Amazing run by Powell though, 9.74 easing down is phenomenal (and 9.78 without wind in the final is unbelivable as well).
