Hes shite
Is he approaching or already in his 30s? If so, yes! we go for it!When some were saying it’s awfully short term planning when we bought him, others were defending his transfer. Now what? We go and splash another 40m on fabregas?
Mourinho and his obsession with over the hill Serbian players
Didn’t he do the same thing with Ivanovic? Jesus wept
Today was actually one of his better games until the last goal.
Yes, his passing and distribution was sloppy all game but he actually repelled the City attack a number of times. Herrera in the same position was a lot worse. Could've been beat by a few more if not for Matic.
However, on the whole, he needs to leave along with a few more of our players in a squad in which 90% are deadwood.
Honestly, it wasn't even half a season. By the time we were getting into late September-November there was already a lot of talk about how he was looking tired and should be rested. He was still decent at that stage so it was often overlooked until later in the season, but in reality he's slowly but surely gotten worse the longer he's been here.He had a good half season and has been poor ever since.
Does that excuse him standing in the box between 2 centre backs and failing to even make a challenge on a guy 2 yards away from him? No.His legs have gone. It's not his fault and I'm sure he's trying his best but he needs to be dropped immediately and sold in the summer.
It's not even a surprise. Everyone poeple worry about signing ageing players we get others frantically circling like vultures as if age is completely irrelevant. It isn't.Honestly, it wasn't even half a season. By the time we were getting into late September-November there was already a lot of talk about how he was looking tired and should be rested. Needs a rest, desperately. I’d like to think he’ll come back a better player after a break.
As it stands, 15% of what he does is OK, 75% is far, far from good enough.
Posted the below in Fred thread:
His kind of composure is meaningless because all it does is slows down our play and allows opposition to regroup. Don’t mistaken needless amount of touches for composure as this basically says he is not aware of the surroundings and needs several touches to evaluate the situation he’s in (he knows he can shield the ball alright to give himself time for this) but this is no use for us at all as it makes us very pedestrian and predictable.
Never should have been signed, factse have a manager who wants height and physicality above mobility, pace and passing range shows we are heading i the wrong direction.
He even got beaten by Bernardo silva in a push fight in the corner I couldn’t believe that.See, I dont even think he's physical. He's a 6ft 3in unit who somehow gets done in pretty much every physical battle he has - he literally offers NOTHING to the team anymore.
People said the same thing about Rooney, Lukaku, Sanchez and even Pogba. The one player Jose will never drop.
