Negative net transfer spending? (Last 10 tears) we are top of the list.

Terrible at selling them in general, keeping players past their point where they can be sold, giving them larger contracts which make them difficult to sell on etc.

While this is part of it, paying so much for the wrong players is also a big reason. The Sancho sale was an eye opener for me. Having bought him for so much I wouldn't have sanctioned such a low fee. I'd have kept him and continued giving him chances with good man management until he finds some form, before letting him go to pastures new for less of a loss.

But its what fans here have been suggesting our players are worth for years when they flop.

So now I expect it'll be the same with Antony, we'll eventually find a loan with a fee to buy thats £20-30 million

The problem is that in the past we have paid really high salaries. so unable to sell the cast off's. Hopefully that changes with Ineos. I think only Bruno, Casemiro and Rashford are on very high salries.

Which is also part of the problem, our recruitment hasn’t aided our sales either.

In Sanchos case it was clear our manager at the time wasn’t going to use him and was probably never going to reintroduce him, so we didn’t have much of a choice and again he’s on huge wages.

Just feel like we don’t sell players at the right time or for the right price either, whereas other clubs like City/Chelsea have been good at this.

Am I the only one who sees this as a positive sign? I mean, we must get it right at some point...

Constant managers carousel also doesn't help. We've made wrong choices there as well.

We are on the right path now seeing as we've finally got competent executives in charge.

It's more about the baffling stupidity from Ed Woodward's reign of terror and how heavily that has set us back over the last decade.

Saying that after those competent executives paid 45 million for the totally incompetent Zirkzee... I honestly have doubts. I wouldn't have paid a bag of beans for a forward who scored 14 goals in 58 matches in Italy.

Although a lot of the summer signings have been really good, I have to agree Zirkzee does look like a dud so far.
