I could've exaggerated my injuries above, so pardon omar.
If you take out the first week (when I didn't know you could make daily lineup changes), my team has lost just twice all season. Once 5-4 and once 6-3.
Okay I did a bunch of calculations comparing where the total stats say each team should be and where the category W/L say they are.
Here is the official luck rating from best luck to worst luck.
1. Omar, -6
2. Desert, -2.5
2. Eboue, -2.5
4. Goo, -1
4. Best, -1
4. Ill, -1
7. RDCR, 0
8. Nanderson, 4.5
8. Danny, 4.5
10. Dan, 5
The numbers are the differences in rank between stats and W/L. For example, I'll break down Omar's line.
FG: 1st in WL, 5th in total = -4
FT: 2.5 in WL, 1 in total = ***.5
3P: 4 - 5 = -1
PT: 4.5 - 6 = -1.5
REB: 5.5 - 6 = -0.5
AST: 8 - 8 = 0
ST: 7 - 7 = 0
BL: 7 - 7 = 0
TO: 1.5 - 2 = -0.5
Add up -4, 1.5, -1, -1.5, -.5 and -.5 to get -6.
So taking this into consideration, here are my power rankings.
Tier 1: Best
Tier 2: Eboue, RDCR
Tier 3: Danny, Omar
Tier 4: Dan, Goo
Tier 5: Desert, Ill, Nan
TheBest is the clear favorite and I wouldn't be surprised if Eboue or RDCR won it. Danny and Omar have an outside chance but I don't think Dan or Goo have much of a chance at all.
Theleague
Anything can happen in a couple of weeks. We have playoffs don't we?
This is an American sport, no one cares about the regular season.
Monta Ellis is available.
Ellis is rated as the 80th best this season, Smith is 93rd. Vucevic is 27th but Omar has 4 good players at the 4 big man spots.
Sorry Eboue, I can't suggest anything if you're working by that logic. Ranking means nothing in this game. It's the stats that count. Have a look at Smith's stats (in all categories!) and compare them to Ellis and Vucevic.. No player in the league would accept to trade Smith for any of them.
By the way I forgot this.
Not a good counter argument, I'm taking the moral victory here.
FFS I am not serious. To be honest it's not even a moral victory.. The objective of the regular season is just to qualify for the play-offs. The only advantage you get for finishing higher than somebody else is that you'll win a matchup against a lower ranked player in the playoffs if the actual matchup ended in a tie (4-4). Again white text.
