Too much media about LaBron (whose Cadavers didn't make the real season), hate the Lakers, can't get enthused about San Anton, and the entire Eastern Conference sucks. I guess I could get enthused about the Sacto/Dallas games--entertaining basketball the way it was meant to be played, but too many other teams are paid to bore us to death. NBA--'Nother Boring Afternoon.

feck the mavs :p . I almost got some tickets to go watch them in big D this saturday but too much work to do this weekend. They are on again tonight.

Actually, I grew up a Lakers fan, Spurs second (dunno why), and Mavs third (only because they were local), but I hate the Rockets. I was a Magic Johnson fan so I followed the Lakers in the mid 80s when I started watching basketball. However, should the Mavs win it, that would be a great achievement. Don't see it happening.

Why do I hate the Kings?

Vlade is a big cheat (diver). Webber wanted out of Sacramento so bad till he realized they could offer him the biggest contract. Doug Christie is a punk. The Kings fans all of sudden think they are the best in the world (in fact, kind of like Chelsea..and the Kings were rescued by billionaire brothers...hmmm). I just don't like them. I don't want to see Webber win shit. After he talked all that crap about the city of Sacramento and how he didn't think he could fit in, then re-signs. Change of heart my ass...it's all about the benjamins.

When he scored that shot up in the air with his back to the basket. Yet, got on my nerves too.

Ok, I don't see why you would thing Christie is a punk? He is a fairly likable quiet guy. Unless you hold a grudge for punching the lights out on that greasy Fox fella. Pedja is the best shooter in the NBA, Bibby is a wonderfull point guard, Bobby Jackson has two hearts.

As an organization they create recognizable players from nobody's and rejects. Who was JIm Jackson before he played for Kings, or Turkoglu, or Thunderberg, or Clark. Now you have Piller and Brad MIller coming our of nowhere. How about creating stars with Pedja and Bibby? When they traded Bibby for Jay Will I thought they were smoking crack, but look at the situation now. Sure, C Web is contraversial, but him and Divac rebuild that team from nothing practicly. And I don't see how money can be so much involved. They have not gone out and obtained big name stars like lakers for example.

And the style of playing is just pure class and excitement.

2-0 baby

SA 3-0 Mem
NJ 3-0 NY
LA 2-0 Houston
Det. 1-1 Milwankee
Miami 2-0 NO
Minnesota 2-0 Denver
Sac. 2-0 Dallas

hope 2c kings v pacers in the finals..kings don't look 2 good though..even after being up 2-0...still worried abt them defensively..and they tend 2 self destruct on offense at times..

semis against wolves will be extremely tough..

and vlade doesn't dive..he flops ;)

I'll be at the Mavs game tomorrow and on monday - looking forward to the playoff atmosphere. Just hope they can win these two games and make a series of it. If Nash doesn't find his form though I think Dallas are yet again going home early.

Have fun at the game! Nash will play better at home. I'm a Knick fan and there's not much hope there.

Cheer mate.

Sorry about the Nicks - they look well and truly battered already.

Nash should play better but he needs to escape the close attentions of Bibby. Should be a good game.

Now, how likely is it I will manage to see United at fecking 9am somewhere?!

There's a place that probably would have it - The Dubliner, 2818 Greenville Avenue
Tel no. (214) 818-0911.

Now getting up that early and getting there is another story.

I was on Greenville a nigt or two ago and I saw that place. Have you been there before or are you guessing?

There are some Celtic fans in my neighborhood and they were talking about it one time. It's the Dallas branch of the North American Celtic Supporters HQ so I went to the website and got the address and phone number. I've only been to Dallas once and didn't get there. On the site they advertised some United matches that were starting at 6:30am so you have a good shot.

nash is pretty ok actually..not much else he can do besides shoot better..but i think if mavs wanna win..finley has 2 re-energise himself...he's settling in the perimeter an awful lot..hasn't gone 2 the free throw line at all in the series..and he's shooting percentage is like..wut?? 30+ percent?

having said that..mavs have the best home record this season..so it'll b tough 4 kings 2 win...

kings 2 win it 4-2!! :D

3-1 Great game  . Reminded me of the Utah - Bulls series while back, intense, physical, dramatic game where anybody can take it.

Kings won a great game. Went right to the wire. Nowitzki seemed to be unable to amke a shot in the second half. Great third quarter from the Kings.

Great game?? It was pretty awful really. Dallas played slightly better D, but stunk offensively. Kings stepped it up a half and Peja and Bibby came through for them. Dallas freethrows was something like 8 from 15. Good 2nd period for Dallas had the arena kicking but the 3rd period proved quite a let down. Still playoff NBA is something else, if I ever get the chance again I'd snap it up - quality entertainment.

one thing i'm not happy about is the rockets' bad luck..

they could've been 3-1 up instead of 1-3 down..

Agree that a neutral wouldn't have enjoyed the 'quality' but it was great for the fans because the Kings were never in a commanding lead, and the Mavs kept clawing it back. Steve Nash must be gutted with that final shot.

We're gonna kill 'em at Arco. Apparently, the Mavs organization ran an animation showing Doug Christie on all fours being led by his wife on a leash. Webber shown taking money at Michigan Univ.. The league are looking into it to see whether any rules were broken.

Looks like Cuban will be hit with another huge fine!

I'm not a neutral though! It was by no means a great game! kin kings.

Big one tonight Dans. I think we are gonna get revenge for lat year.

Watch that Najera bastard foul out!

Why'd you think Christie is a punk? His wife has his balls in a jar by her bedside, granted.

All over tonight - the talk in this town is well pessimistic.

Mavs just haven't displayed poise, spirit and will in this series. Worried that Kings may slip menthaly by thinking it's all over already.

I think I will watch the Denver/Minnesota game tonight. All this talk of "punches will be thrown." NBA fights are hilarious. Long arms swinging and rarely connecting.

Apart from the one that knocked Fox on his arse in preseason two years ago  .

Well, hopefully Minasota will go the distance so that the kings can get more rest.

Now, for the record, no whining for the whole serios with the mavs by the kings players. I have yet to see Vlade flop. What about Bibby, Pedja and Christie's performance. Bibby was magnificent last night!

Lakers-Kings western final?

Even Pires can go a few matches without diving.

Just wait till Vlade posts Shaq...the flopping will begin. That is, if the Kings survive the Wolves matchup (or LA gets past SASpurs).

Don't watch that much basketball, but the Mavs-Kings game last nite was a real advert for the sport. Nash ran Bibby close for MVP, although Mike wins it for delivering the goods when it mattered.

The officials missed a lot of things.

Why didn't they call that foul on Nowitzki on the last play??

What was with all the travelling calls? Let the players play ffs.

And what a tosspot call on Songaila when he clung to the rim after dunking.

Still, great comeback by the Kings. Fifteen points down at one point, and didn't seem to start at the same time as Dallas. Nash was brilliant in the first half, but Bibby was great the whole game.

We'll be lucky to get through the next round.
