NBA 2024-2025

With what? They got nothing to trade.

Also probably not their biggest need.

I don't know but they were. That's the intriguing part, I don't know what they were willing to offer, my guess would be at least McDaniels and Detroit's pick plus somethings else.

Would you give up Dillingham?

Would you give up Dillingham?

I'm stingy, I would give no one. The Wolves already have their "young" top 8, it should be DDV, Edwards, McDaniels, Reid, Gobert, Clark, NAW and Dillingham. I would love to have a traditional point guard instead of DDV but I would be against any silly trades.

I would feel that way too if I was a TWolves fan, but KD would make you contenders above a bunch of teams in the west. Whether he’s worth it given the kind of package it would take to get him is another question entirely.

so now hornets stuck with mark williams and nurk and the lakers with jaxson hayes

Oh shit forgot about that butterfly effect lul, things wont be awkward in Charlotte and Lakers at all, feel for Knecht

Not sure what to make of that one. The first half the Dubs played like they have for the last 30 games or more. The second half, they played like the team that started 12-3. Steph, for the first time in while, seemed like Steph and scored 24 in the 3rd quarter.

Promising.....

Hurts our championship aspirations this season but you can't sign a player who fails a medical especially giving up that kind of haul.

Really thought we would be the threat contenders alongside Denver to OKC but now without a center I’m not sure. Right decision but think it jeopardizes our current season.

To me it's similar to KD being traded to the Suns, yes he is great but I don't think that you are a more likely contender after gutting your team for a 37 years old. I would rather see them target very good and younger role players or trade up in the draft.

There could be something in the buy out market, Hayes has been better over the last couple of weeks and I think him being with Luka can make him take another step offensively in terms of output. I still dont put us up there but we will be fun at least.

It was basically the full AD experience. He went crazy the first half, got everybody hyped, then left the game with a non-contact injury.

AD is coming off his two healthiest and most productive years. Talk about selling high , we managed to flip him, max and a pick for Luka Magic.

Are you trolling us?? Move on and enjoy the Slovenian ride.

And now he’s out for weeks reminding people why Chuck calls him Street Clothes.

Mavs really got the full AD experience in 1 game.

It really sounds like the Mavs owner only started watching basketball a few years ago. He mentioned Shaq in the same sentence as "great work ethic"

I completely forgot that today is the day the Wolves will be sold or not. At least the day we will know.

Also, the irony of him mentioning Shaq and Kobe, two players that were dominant on the same team he traded Luka to. You’d think Lakers of all franchises would know what is prerequisite to being successful.

So apparently Nico ignored medical about AD and pushed trade through regardless, then when shit hit the fan, they rushed AD to calm shit down and now season might be over for AD, yea this whole thing...and he might need to buff his security. Also, Lakers mouthpieces like Windy having a go at fans taking a side of Nico aint helping Nico one bit.

I'd love to know the inside story on this one. On the surface, the whole thing sure seems a bit fishy.

Like i said its more fun to lean on shit being shady af than just say Nico is a moron because there are so many things and decisions that make no sense, most of reasoning aint holding water one bit.

Got crushed by the jazz today in a game where they were clearly half assed. Bring on the all star break.

I think they have no intention of even paying to go over the salary cap, like the old owners of the Kings, the Maloofs, also casino owners. They just want to keep things profitable, meaning no one gets a supermax.

They're looking at saving over $100 million through the trade, and getting a top player.

I don't think Nico is to blame, I think the owner saw it as a business decision solely about money.

Thompson's window is very small to win again, Irving's only a little bigger. So they wanted a win now player who is a defensive beast. There aren't many candidates that fit.

So they went for unfit Davis? This for me, goes even beyond Dallas owners. Yes, all that you said probably had some influence into decision, but it still doesn't explain a lot of things such as not putting him on the market and getting the best deal. Or getting such a bad deal for one of league's best players in his prime.

When you put a lot of people who like to make money they will naturally try to save and make more money. Best market for Doncic and NBA is LA. That is (imo) the 2nd part of this story. Just my 2 cents, am not that bothered either way.

Yeah, all the reasons make sense but the whole picture is still wrong. Even if you want AD, opening the market would surely force LA to give up more, at least.

AD has missed too many games in his career to build a franchise around.

Thus the conspiracy theories that Dallas is sabotaging themselves so the fans don't get upset when they move the team to Vegas.

The team won't be moved to Vegas. Vegas and probably Seattle will be expansion teams. That theory makes no sense because it relies on the other owners/governors to literally give up on hundreds of millions each for no reason.

I think in that case, so the theory goes, Dallas would get an exclamation team instead.

I’m not supporting the theory, i think its popularity demonstrates that the trade doesn’t make sense, thus people are getting creative in looking for any scenario where this makes sense.
