NBA 2020-2021

The fire will rise. It's a bad lead to have with other team misfiring.

Edit: ok it is 16 now, maybe I miscalculated

42-17 quarter

Would love to hear halftime talk. You go for Al Pacino "inch by inch" or you just walk out and eat a sandwich.

Bucks offense isn't consistent enough to win 4 in a row against the hawks especially with 2 games in Atlanta.
Their defence is. The Hawks will have to find solutions in this quarter for the way the bucks are defending the pick and roll by collapsing into the paint or this is a wrap.

If Trae isn't close to reaching 40 every night, I don't see how they outscore the Bucks. They are relentless in offence. This will most likely be Bucks in 5.

I don't understand why Gallinari isn't getting more minutes. At this point he should be starting.

He's too much of a liability on defence, and the hawks already look like they need to rely on the bucks missing enough wide open shots to have a chance as is

In other news: Bud's making adjustments, and they're good!

Kidd to the Mavs and Billups as the Blazers head coach
I don’t know what it’s about Billups, it’s his second coaching job I think after being assistant at Clippers but I know he had been linked with many in the past. Not sure if the time is right to go with young inexperienced coach.

I would have gone with D'Antoni. Billups is probably who Dame wanted.

Yep strong belief from the fans that Dame chose the coach. As much as I admire Dame’s loyalty and his ability, we shouldn’t be giving him as much control over team as he has. He’s also the reason why we made so few significant trades over the years and refused to deal CJ when he value was high when the likes of Paul George and pre-injury Cousins were available. Also part of the reason why we kept Stotts longer than we should have.

I mean, unless you're trading away Dame, might as well give him whatever he wants to see out his career with the Blazers.

He doesn't bitch about management and is happy to roll with what he wants. That's practically the dream for most franchise other than the lack of a championship. Better him than LeBron who bitches about not having enough help after the team gets him his handpicked team.

I think Neil wanted Billups all along. I hope this blows up and he loses his job.

Hate how stop start the end of nba games are. Completely ruins the flow.

Suns win and lead 3-1

It was Clippers ball with 7 seconds to go with the Suns up by 1 and they didn't review it

They probably would have missed the shot anyway though given how that game went

"I guess y'all ain't heard of playoff P, huh?"
"What's that?"
"Playoff P. I call myself playoff P. This the playoffs. I'm a different breed"
"Okay"

It feels that it’s going to be Milwaukee v Phoenix in the finals which makes me happy as I’ve enjoyed watching both teams this season and both came as significant underdogs at the beginning of year. I admit I underestimated the impact Suns’ bubble run and acquisition of Chris Paul would have on that team. I’d expect Bucks to win which will be awesome for Giannis’ legacy and justify his decision to sign up with them long term but Suns are more than equipped to give them trouble and will also hold homecourt advantage.

Hawks and Clippers not completely out of it though, wouldn’t be that shocked to see either of them still take it to game 7. Clippers could have easily been 3-1 up not down by now if PG could score crucial free throws.

They appear to have zero clue on basketball operations.

I actually think that Porzingis, the Knicks version of him was a fantastic pairing with Doncic. He could post up, was much more agressive to the rim and could shoot the lights out from distance stretching the floor. His potential was immense. In reality that should be the perfect big man for Doncic.

This version is, damn, they could have get that out of 20 other guys in the league with a much less pedigree. Him standing in the corner and waiting for 10 shots a game from the long range is a sad state from what he once was. The injury just ruined him. Problem is also which has to be on the coaching part a bit is that he looks worse and worse and more limited then ever.

I couldn't even bring myself to watch any ball after the Mavs turned into the world's hottest garbage fire... How could it all go so wrong?

We tend to play well against the Bucks for some weird reason. We've a winning record against them for a few years running now, even when we were in full tank mode.
