People will shift complete blame on Ben Simmons, which shouldnt be the case but i cant imagine pressure and those kind of comments regarding FT etc. fecking up your head, he really looked scared in some moments, getting rid of the ball just so he doesnt get fouled.
Are you joking? The Hawks won their 4 games by a sum total of 17 points. Simmons missed 30 free throws in this series (15-45). He's a max player who is supposed to step up. Of course it was his fault.
The Sixers certainly have other problem areas but if Simmons had been half decent they would have won.

this is just worse than saying straight up noyou got paid 30 million a year, surely at least you learn how to shoot free throws. Hell, even Shaq wasn't this bad.

Still watching fourth quarter of Hawks vs. 76ers. I’ve thought for a while Hawks will win - if they do, the moment where Simmons passes instead of taking the opportunity for a clear dunk(!) will be pointed to as one of the defining moments of his career. Crazy decision that showed how scared of contact he is.

Yup, Hawks did it. 76ers the only (?) team in the playoffs without an elite ball handler and it shows, time and time again, especially at the end of tight games.
Three stupid plays in a row at the end of the game lost it for them;
1) Ben passing to Thybulle instead of going for a clear dunk
2) Thybulle fouling on a three point shot
3) Embiid turnover straight out of a timeout.

Superb win for Atlanta, so happy with that. I doubted them after Friday loss but they managed to get their third win in Philadelphia, remarkable.
With Morey at the wheel I expect Philly to go through big changes this off-season. Almost a given that they trade Simmons for someone who fits better. Normally I’d expect player to focus on improving his clear weaknesses before next season but with Simmons it’s almost certain he won’t even try to address it, he hasn’t improved them in slightest since coming to the league.

I did the same and obsessed with it now. The NBA league pass is a great tool that allows you to watch all games live/ on replay from the last eight years or so. If you get that there are plenty of people on here who can recommend games for you to start with.
Philly should have given Toronto what they wanted for Lowry, in a hindsight. That would have basically secured them championship this year IMO.

Well if it’s this years first that stays with Minnesota (so top 3), Sixers are doing that in a heartbeat.Rubio, Beasley and a first round pick for Simmons.
Simmons has really appeared as a perfect trade target for Blazers. Three weeks ago Philly fans wanted to trade him for Dame but they would be happy to get McCollum back now, I guess. And from Portland perspective having a big wing who can make plays and defend is an appealing piece, besides something has done to be done anyway as we cannot continue with this current team anyway.
Based on the current context, I wouldn't offer anything else than a first in 2023 and two players, Rubio and Beasley seem to be the best fit for the Sixers though they would probably prefer something involving McDaniels. I'm not trying to talk about fleecing them, to me it sounds like a good deal for both sides.
If a top three pick is involved then I don't think that it's reasonable to only get Simmons, an other valuable asset would have to go to Minnesota. Particularly since I don't see who would go after Simmons and has valuable assets or picks to offer. I'm sorry to tell you but whenever I see a trade involving the Blazers the assets are underwhelming.
McCollum is a good asset though. He's 30 so probably still has 2-3 good years left, is an elite shooter, can create his own shot. His contract is a bit loaded but then again so is Simmons' now and they run about the same length from now I think. CJ is the most I'd offer though, if we have to go and give them Simons or any other young piece it becomes too much IMO. Simmons stock is going to be low now and he doesn't suit many teams.
First to make the conversation honest Beasley is on probation, so it plays against him. If you compare McCollum to Beasley, Rubio and a 1st round pick. McCollum is a below average defender and above average scorer, Beasley is a terrible defender and above average scorer and he doesn't need to have the ball, Rubio is a reliable backup point guard, a good mentor for Maxey and his pricey contract ends next summer.
So even that relatively low offer from the Wolves would in my opinion be way more valuable than McCollum on a max contract because Beasley is on a nice contract and Rubio is a short term investment at worse.

Yeah it's a toss for me between both offers. Rubio is basically a filler, Beasley is good but a nutcase and not at CJ level as a scorer at all and the pick is pretty far into the future which isn't really that appealing for a team in win now mode. I am not saying CJ is an amazing offer but he's a comparable asset to Simmons IMO currently, and a better fit for Phila so it's something that they could perhaps consider. At an individual level he's probably the best single asset they can get for Simmons anyway. The question is do they prefer to get one solid asset, or multiple decent assets who may turn out better.
Your summary is fair. Though the best asset could be Brogdon, wasn't he linked to trades?
Brogdon or CJ is a wash but Brogdon's contract is better - though much shorter. However I don't see how Simmons makes sense on Indiana when their best player is Sabonis who doesn't really stretch the floor that often and is best around the rim. The fit is far from good there IMO. That's the problem with Simmons, most teams just don't have the fit for him. If you have a non-shooting center, he's a no-go. If you have a center who likes to score around the rim, he's not a great fit. If you don't have multiple elite shooters, you can't fit him in either. Of course some of the lower tier teams could use him for their rebuilds but they will not be able to offer assets that Sixers could use now either. There are literally like 5-6 teams in the league that could actually accommodate him and give Sixers anything that would help them in the short run...
Knicks are maybe another team I could see doing well with him as their centers don't really score around the rim and their 3 other players can shoot. Not entirely sure he's that amazing of a fit there either though.
I don't see the fit with the Knicks, I think that he needs to be around big scorers. The best fits seem to be the Wolves, Blazers and maybe the Kings?
Also what do you think about DLo for Simmons? Would you say that it's equal to CJ for Simmons?
To be honest, Suns will want them to play big as it then opens up the midrange for Booker and Paul via PnR to a greater extent.
