NBA 2016-17

GSW is winning this. It's over.

Can see the series taking the sweep route after all.

Come on Spurs, you can beat those evil cnuts

Can't win if you don't box out. This is over.

Again, not a chance they would have come back here with Leonard on. The plan worked out.

What "plan"? He rolled his ankle off a jump shot ffs. Your bitterness towards the Warriors has reached a new high I see.

GSW took the advantage and finished the game. What a shame.

Let's see what Kawhi situation will be as the series is dependent on.

Wasn't expecting Warriors to struggle this much today, and they would have lost if Kawhi wasn't injured.

I think that Warriors were shocking bar the big two (big four doesn't exist, Green and Klay are nowhere near the level of Curry and KD). They scored 74 points, with the rest of the team scoring 39. The rest of the team should contribute more cause Curry cannot score 40 points each night, and neither can Durant score 34. Klay in particular was absolutely awful in attack, but none will mention it considering that all the pressure is on Curry and KD.

Also, do not think that Zaza deliberately injured Kawhi. He is just a big lump who cannot control his own body. He injured Durant for a couple of months similarly.

Some drama queens in here. Zaza contested a shot, was looking back towards the goal, and Leonard fell on Zaza's foot. Nothing intentional in it.
He moved his foot twice after he already had established balance, both times more in kwahis direction.
He's known for being a dirty player so pulling such a move doesn't surprise me.
Warriors are lucky that spurs are a classy team with no sinister players, otherwise they'd see curry being undercut every time he takes a jump shot.

Klay is a great player, Draymond is a superstar, KD and Steph are all time greats.

How anyone can watch that play and not conclude that what Zaza did was dirty and deliberate is beyond me. I mean, Kawhi took a 2 pointer and Zaza's foot ends up well beyond the 3 point line.

It's extremely fecking careless and negligent. Youre responsible for your body, and you shouldn't place your feet in someone's landing zone. Zaza has a history so I wouldn't be surprised if he meant it. The cnut.

Disgrace.

I have no sympathy for the Spurs with the Zaza-Leonard play, anyone who watched the NBA in the early 2000s knew they got a taste of their own medicine.

They should do the same to Curry next game. Would square up the series a bit.

They already did it to curry. Well not on purpose, since I am not blinded by hate. But you can see in the clip below he lands on LMA's foot. This is a very common thing/action that happens when shot is being contested closely.

Additionally, Kawhi, who has the right to be aggrieved and irrational about this injury himself mentions that he doesn't hold it against Zaza. Kawhi himself believes that it happened without any intention. However, experts over internet disagree.

Because of Zaza's history I think it was intentional. How ridiculously lucky is this Warriors team? They win their first championship beating a depleted Cleveland (and many others on the way), they have the ability to add Kevin Durant to their roster, and now they beat Portland without Nurkic, Utah without Hill, possibly the Spurs without Kawhi.

Don't think Kawhi would ever say someone did it intentionally. Still the Spurs have enough quality to hold a 20 point lead.
Anyway Zaza hardly jumped and took a couple steps forward. Maybe he just wanted to shake Kawhi up a bit. Kawhi also tripped on his own bench players, maybe making his ankle worse.
Hope he's fit for the next game as this has the potential to be a great series.

I understand where you are coming from about Kawhi not saying it was intentional. However that could also be because maybe it really wasn't. We have slow motion evidence that it was closely contested shot but no conclusive evidence of intent. I posted another clip from the same game where LMA ends up doing the same to Curry. It's the playoffs, the stakes are higher, people hustle harder and defend closer than ever.

I really do hope, and going by recent positive reports, that it's not a major injury and Kawhi makes a recovery in time for the next game. I think concluding intention to injure on Zaza's part based on the evidence at hand is unfair.

Even if he plays in the other matches of the series, he will not be at 100% I think.

Can't imagine him being 100% today either when he started the game. He was so good though. The man is a beast! Model professional to boot too.

It is impossible to hate players like him. Probably the most complete player in the league, I hope he will still be able to play and perform. This series doesn't need to be a sweep or too easy for GS.
