Natal v Move

I have come around a bit. If there was a good, accurate boxing game, I would probably buy Move.

Got both in our apartment over the weekend

First impressions

Kinect - sensor seems a little slow to startup when you turn on the Xbox. Takes 3-5 seconds. Maybe im being harsh! Sensor works very well when in use, recognition is very very good. When you step in front of it, recognises who you are and signs in the appropriate ID. Speech recognition function appears to have possibilities. Online calling/video meetings with friends is very good with face tracking. Games are 'ok' so far, based on playing Kinect Sports (Bowling is fun but my mate seemed to find a 'sweet spot' where he would always get a strike) and Fitness Evolved (almost killed me!)

Move - silly looking but seems to work very well. Good compatibility with the likes of Buzz and Singstar. Played the sports package, some of the games also required too many button presses (such as the gladiator game) but the Disc Golf game was excellent, good fun.

I can see both having great potential when a better range of games come out

Do we think Sony and MS have both realised that both are a pile of crap. Hardly seem to be pushing either of there tech anymore.

Moves worth it for the fight alone. Got shite reviews, but it's a good game. I've nearly completed it  and can say that it will improve your stamina and leave you feeling in decent shape if you don't over do it.

This new jockey game...

Sorry, I really think all of this motion control thing is a total load of nonsense. Really, who on earth would want to be seen acting like such a spastic? Christ knows what the Kinect version looks like.

I've never used the Kinect but my argument for the Move is on behalf of my 3 year old.

A Christmas or so back we bought her Eye-Pet and she loves it. Yet trying to play it herself with the original "Magic Card" was really difficult. She never really grasped the concept that the card had to be held so the camera could see it (in order to project toys and equipment upon it) and it was forever frustrating her. When the Move update arrived we picked one up for her and now she's fine with it. It makes things a lot easier for her, and she can sit for hours unaided, feeding, washing and playing with her little pet.

She also loves the "Start the Party" game, and it's something that the whole family can play together. There are not many other games that a 3 year old and a thirty eight year old can play together*, but the Move makes this possible.

* I still kick her ass on this though, I feel shallow beating a three year old but the way kids and technology go these days I must savor these petty victories whilst I can!

Kinect is amazing.

Love it.

Games we have:

Dance Central
Dance Central 2
Kinect Adventures
Rise of Nightmares
Biggest Loser
Kinect Sports

yeah, i've really grown to love it.

btw looking at your list.. are you a fatty?

No

Got Dance Central & Kinect Sports in a bundle with Forza 4, Kinect and Adventures for £129.99 from Gamestation.

Bought Biggest Loser from Play for £9.99.

Rise of Nightmares is actually really good just starting playing it.

Weaste will post in this thread

I have no interest in it. But people I know who have it seem to get a lot of fun from it. Thats what its all about.

fkin hate the kinnect, pile of poop. Santa delivered it for my little sister who is 7, she cant stop playing Kinnecticans and Disneyland. She loves it and im surprised how graphically good the are. However it means the time i spend playing on my is slashed to 0 hours a day!

I read somewhere that Weaste said it has a lag?

I have not noticed anything of the sort.

He really is a PS3/Sony bum boy

I got a move controller when I bought my latest PS3. Never once been tempted to use it.
