He also will win trophies at City which would be a lot tougher than at Arsenal.

I have a prediction, Mancini won't last the season. Chelsea are still United's main challengers.

I predicted that last year, but their CL entry seems to have saved his arse.

I can just see him in a hairspray advert, or him meeting up with Figo in a bar.... more his kind of thing.

Don't dismiss Arsenal so easily, wait till Sept 1st. They are a wounded animal just now, and a wounded animal with a shit load of cash and a good nucleus of players (Keeper, Verm, Sagna, Wilshere, Arse-shavings, RVP and this new fella with the klingon head). A couple of astute buys and I think Arsenal will be strong again.

This has clearly prove Fergie wasn't even interested in him as all the papers in July proclaimed to be

Of course we weren't interested in someone who was clearly motivated by astronomical wages and no real sense of loyalty. He's nowhere good enough to be our highest earner, let alone breaking our wage structure completely. He and Shitty deserve each other.

Yep, that League Cup winner's medal will look fecking sharp on his mantlepiece.

He's interested in what they can win not what they have won.

Not denying that. But even if they do, I see City as far better contenders to win titles in the not so distant future. They've got endless pots of cash and will in all likelihood start winning trophies regularly. And if they don't in two years, they'll just go out and buy another truckload of world class players until they start doing it. I just can't see it not happening for them, sadly. Whereas at Arsenal I wouldn't rule them out but their chances are getting slimmer by the season.

What's the "this" that proves that Fergie wasn't interested? From Fergie's comments during pre-season it sounded like they'd put feelers out and they'd found out he was going someplace else - that makes it sound like we had some kind of interest, perhaps not strong enough to try and tempt him away once they found out who he was going to and how much they were going to offer him.

There were reports that Nasri was waiting for other clubs of his preferred choice to come in with an offer, none did thus the delay of this deal apparently, this 185k was just the icing on the cake. If he had wanted money, this deal would surely have been concluded earlier rather than today

Strange that, because Arsenal and City only agreed a fee yesterday.

Nasri has made it clear than he wanted to move to City at close season, and get the pre-season under his belt at City.

It's an entire package.Nasri wanted more money obviously but also to play for team that will compete to win trophies.I doubt he'd have to Anzhi for instance if they proposed him Eto'o's wages

IMO it's just Wenger trying his best to keep his player during pre-season and obviously he could not. Do you not think City wouldn't be able to agree to what Arsenal demanded from the start? It was always going to be around 22-25m that sort of figure anyway

He hasn't moved purely for money. Like it or not, moving from Arsenal to City is a step up nowadays. A bit like Cole's move, he hasn't done too badly at Chelsea, has he?

Wasn't Chelsea reigning champions when Ashley joined them? Moving from Arsenal to City is, at best, a sidestep, in terms of football quality the past years.

of course. City will most likely finish second this year and will reach at least quarter-finals of the CL. I'm not sure LeArse will even make the CL this year. Good move for him money and sport-wise.
