Nani

I've always like Nani. With the Portuguese connection, he may even do better than his first spell. He wouldn't be a bad back-up in truth.

If we were linked to another player with Nani's profile we'd be saying he was nowhere near good enough and we'd be right. It amazes me that anyone would be in favour of us settling for Nani again.

i.e Felipe Anderson.

No wonder you didn't like him if you never watched him play. If there's one thing you can't say about Nani it's that he can't shoot. He scored a lot of ridiculous goals for us.

His 'low work rate' is a total myth, too.

Careful with that kind of comment, don't put words in my mouth, or make up things i've said.
I have seen every game the team has played since before Nani was born.

He can shoot... Hard, but most of the shots ended far up in the stands.
The few times he miracolously hit towards the goal, the goals were nice of course.
But unfortunately they rarely did.

His work rate isn't very good at all, or he might actually run back more than i give him credit for, but he has no clue how to win the ball back.

The lad has all the abilities and skills to be one of the very best wide players, but his head has no clue how to use them.

On a short term basis I think £8m for him would be a good deal as a squad player. Pace, skill and a good cross on the wing, albeit a bit inconsistent. Probably better than Memphis and could teach him a thing or two.

Felipe Anderson is 23, not 29. He also hasn't already been shipped out by a top club after failing to fulfill his potential. Very different profiles really.

Is a RW that hard to find these days?!

But for 8m, having Nani for squad depth isnt that bad of an idea.
Lingard clearly cannot cut it and who knows whats going on with Januzaj.

Always pissed me off we sold him just as an opening came up on the right wing, after years of playing him on the left where he always struggled for consistency. If this move did happen I certainly wouldn't be unhappy about it, but I doubt very much it's based on reality.

I Want You Back

A reminder that your opinion is wrong :D.

Ok ..My last post of the day from the Newbies. So, listen. You know how you love or hate a player who divides opinions and then what you hope happens to him doesn't happen?

Example: I thought Di Maria was a self important prick but most of you here believe he was an angel with the temperament of Harnandez or Mata and it is Van Gaal who turned him into the vindictive piece the shit he turned out to be. Not all those years playing at Real.

I thought Kagawa Harnandez, RvP and even Rooney had to go, but most of you still believe van Gaal was wrong to let them go.Suprisingly, most of you still believe the likes of Rashford would have still got a place if they were here.

The only one I wanted to stay was Nani. Pliz bring him back. Smalling , Jones and Rooney have got an easier ride. Everyone expected him to to be Ronaldo 2.0 and he has never been forgiven for not living up to that mantle.

His last seasons at United were terrible. He was getting booed at Old Trafford. It would be a backwards step for us. He never lived up to the potential he showed earlier in his United career.

He was injured and subsequently unfit. That was pretty obvious. Even when he played, he didn't. He couldn't run.

Hope is is just bs... The player i liked least in all my 30-something years of supporting United.
Selfish, can't shoot, can't even do one good corner in ten tries.
Even in his best games, he gave the ball away too many times, giving opponents chance to countrr attack.
Doubt his low work rate suits Mourinho anyway, hopefully this is just bs, contract negotiation or something.

Rather have Vidic back as a RW.
What a load of bollocks

I have puke in my mouth.

Getting ibra and buying nani back would be a good summer transfer window for us.

Awful post. 2*/10.

It quite surprises me there are so many positive comments for him. I mean i actually liked the guy, and there's no doubting his skill. But he always took too many games to find his form, and the moment he did, he was injured again. And the cycle repeated. Unfortunately just one of those players that can't work here for me.

Bringing Nani back isn't so Bad, I think he was Gone Too Soon, Remember The Time when Nani set up Rooney for his Dangerous, Invincible bicycle kick? Or when he ran like a Speed Demon from the half way line and scored the winner against city for the charity shield, which made everyone Scream and left city fans Speechless! What a Heartbreaker, you had Got To Be There, he put a huge Smile on my face that day!

For £6m I Want You back, I'll be There when you return Nani, Will You Be There?
This transfer window is turning out to be quite a Thriller!

Just story to fill up a slow transfer window so far am sure but, I'd welcome him back as a squad player with the thought that maybe he can even give us a season or two of his best level. As a squad player, we've lacked game changer on the bench and Nani can certainly be that. There are very few good RW options on the market that are attainable but, they should be our top priority but, Nani as a back up would not be a bad punt.

To me he got bit of a raw deal at the end. With injuries and before that Fergie opting to use Valencia on the right even though he became Turn Back Tony and not giving Nani a real shot to earn the spot.

Just building on your statement, similar performance-levels and talents but when Anderson stagnates no one has any interest in him anymore because there's no relation between him and us. Just like no one would be slightly interested in Nani had he not played for us before.

Terrible post.
Why? His shooting was very erratic, apart from 10/11 and the start of 11/12 I hardly remember his time at United as overwhelming success.

He was lightning, but he couldn't score frequently enough and couldn't tackle to save his life. Why do people say it's a terrible post, he was booed at Old Trafford towards the end.

He was exactly the same player when he left in 14 as to when he arrived in 07. Frustrating.
