MSC: Stockport vs. United Reserves

The ressies learning from the 1st team early on - 2 consecutive free headers, one off the line, the other missed.

Nice to see our new defensive 'coaching' going through all levels.

Bebe thumps it into the side netting after great work from Macheda.

I'm a bit shocked to see Blackett as a cb, two games previous against Southampton he allowed two free headers for goals on the back post, as a left back. He was right on his man for both goals, which were basically identical, but made no effort to jump at all, and was promptly dragged off.

Perhaps after that debacle the coaches thought that a run at cb would help iron out those sort of problems, get him used to defending in the box.

please pm me if there is any way to watch this match now

Nice bit of play there by us, the defender did well to cut out the cross. Shame the corner went all the way through, it was put into a great area.

And it's gone. Don't understand why those guys can't move it to another channel - they have 16 of them!!!

Powell injured, Luke Hendrie coming on according to MrMujac on twitter.

Still 0-0?

Pretty crap news if Powell is injured - he would have played at Stamford Bridge next week :(

It's a dead leg so nothing serious.

Description of the two goals

51 mins and Henriquez scored with his first shot on goal after good work by Macheda...Stockport 0 United 1

And 2-0, floodgates etc. Bébé with a low drive from the edge of the box, teed up by Macheda and Henríquez

IF anyone knows who had the assists I'd appreciate a post for the sake of the stats thread! Was it Macheda for both?

According to a newbie.
Macheda assisted the first goal
Henriquez assisted the second goal

Powell was running the show whilst he was on. Babe showed some great skill and footwork throughout, looking very confident on the ball. He took on about 4 players with some very nice skill at one point, but curled his outside of the boot shot wide. Both of them played well in my opinion. Pity Powell had to go off with a deadleg.

Probably the best, most confident performances I've seen from them both.

That stuff by Bebe in the box where he dragged it past two players...what a goal that would've been.

Dreadful first half, better second. Thought Powell was our best player before he got injured even if no-one really the game alight. Would've liked to have seen more of Januzaj in the game, although with having not played too much in recent times that sort of performance was to be expected.
