Ok,I want a few suggestions regarding a few movies that inspire you to do something.Like a few months ago I watched GOAL and it really inspired me to start playing football again which I always failed to do previously because of my laziness of course.

So can you people please suggest me such movies?Mostly about sports, music and all and not the bad things obviously.

Please!

I can think of a whole range of movies that had an effect on me, or taught me something. But not many really inspired me too do much.

I found that 8 Mile inspired me for a while to pursue making music, but it didn't last long, have terrible motivational problems and not enough patience for it. Do little bits every now and then when in the mood but I am very self critical and most stuff ends up getting tossed off.

Edit: High Fidelity also has the same effect on me.

Lets see...

One thing out of my mind is Million Dollar Baby, Inspiring me to be grateful with what we have.

Although in general people will anwer "Shawsank Redemption" as their inspiring movie of their life.

Possibly my all time favorite movie, but I would not say it inspired me in any way, just a great movie.

I wouldn't recommend it mate. I remeber the last time I was inspired by a movie, it made me want to go out and help free some of the plantes wildlife. I ended up stuck halfway along the m5 in a stolen truck with a 9 ton dead orca strapped to the back and a criminal record that has prevented me from ever working in an aquarium again.

Shawshank... Probably the greatest movie of all time.

It has insipred me to wake up every single day and embrace life.

shawshank is fecking dreadful, i watched "osmosis jones" and that inspired me to stop eating raw eggs

:lol::lol:

Well luckily there is freedom of choice. Besides I am sure the chickens are all grateful... well the ones you let live by skipping the eggs I mean...

:lol::lol:

Some other notably inspiring is clockwork orange.

I don't know, I refrain from watching Shawshank, I have the DvD just outside, tempted to watch it, but knowing how depressing that movie is... probably it'll dust for a while.

Im just messing man, shawshank is a good movie,

inspiring, hmm, i think that lord of the things is pretty inspiring, but that depends on your taste i suppose

the persuit of happiness is decent too

Withnail and I inspires me to up the ante when taking drugs. My friend made me a Camberwell carrot for my birthday when I was a student - a great gift by any measure.
It also made me go camping in the Lake District. I stop short of soaking my shoes in essence of petunia or drinking lighter fluid though.

When I saw Human Traffic the first time it kind of inspired me to go to Cream that night, though in truth I was going anyway.

More recently, Sideways inspired me to learn more about wine.

Taxi Driver inspired me to have sex with 13 years old slut.

The Hurricane - Taught me a lot of life and told me I could do anything I want. It's not the message it was probably meant to give out, but it told me that if you can always achieve or go through what you want in life. Inspired me to try harder in everything.

American History X - Inspired me to change minds.

I still haven't seen Shawsank Redemption.

I just watch Shawshank

It was marverlous and... not really inspiring, but... it makes you feel, enlighten of sort.

I really recommend it, don't worry, the 2.5hours won't feel long at all.

Its really enjoyable.

It suprised me, I thought I was going to hate it, but it left a big mark on me.

Brilliant!Just the suggestions I was hoping for............

Okay

Shawshank- as noted will inspire you to wake up every day and be grateful.

Good Will Hunting- inspire you to be honest with yourself.

Hoosiers- Basketball movie, but my favorite sports movie.

It's a Wonderful Life- every man is valuable.

Glory- American Civil War movie will make you appreciate sacrifice

I am missing a ton but hopefully this helps :).

Yeah it makes me feel just a tad wiser. As if one of life's secrets was just revealed. But honestly I love that movie mostly because it reminds me to "get busy livin'... or get busy dyin'... " :).

Rudy- about a young man who wants to play college football and over comes many odds to achieve that.

The goodfellas inspired me to a life of crime, drugs, illegal gambling etc etc. Unfortunately that didnt go too well and i was caught by the police and sentenced to 15 years in prison. I've got another 6 years left, but the judge said that i might be out in 2 for good behaviour!!! anyway i have to go now, the guard is here, we're only allowed 30mins a day to use the internet and i spend all my time looking at redcafe, Sky sports news and pornotube.com.
