I have an idea for a zombie/end of the world type scenario set over 2 or 3 stories which tells of mans fight for survival
Zombie horror isn't actually horror. It's more like comedy.

alternatively, i would like to write an office style script set in a call centre. i have almost 10 years experience and have loads of little stories to tell. the problem is that i dont know if i could do comedy very well

I can't imagine a zombie movie being scary. Ever. Creepy is where the real horror is.
Night of the Living Dead was brilliant. Resident Evil clearly borrowed from it. I thought it was creepy.

but to be honest all it does is format the whole thing correctly for you. I reckon its more important to get a story down in first draft, and then edit it afterwards
Just make sure it's not as shit is 28 weeks later. I've got a few random ideas. .. great watching films by the great directors, you can pick up on so much.

I haven't seen a whole ton of horror films because I've never been a huge fan. Having said that, I definitely know what I would do if I had the chance to write/direct one.
it was alright. i liked the original better. i had a hand coloured version at one point.
Started off well. Then went all Hollywood.
I've never taken a film making class. Everything I need to know I can learn by watching what other directors have done and talk to the directors I've worked with.
I'm planning on taking a course on European Cinema. Either that or French Film.

I can get hold of the equipment. Not a problem. Getting started is a cnut, though.
I use Cinergy Script Editor. It's easy to use and free.
Hard to say what my favorite genre is. I doubt I have one. I love cinema as a whole.
Something like Rosemary's Baby or A Tale of Two Sisters is the best kind of horror imo.

I've worked on two movies and had the chance to talk to the writers/directors and ask them what their process is. I also know a bunch of local directors of commercials.
I too can get access to equipment as I work for a production company.
Camera. . .and all that stuff. I'd love to direct my own movies.

I'd hopefully employ a fit bird that I know. . .and ask her to go anal. For art's sake, obviously.
The company I work for just recently bought a new HD camera and we're trying to attract more creative spots, so they asked me to direct a 60 second or so vignette. I should have it done in 2 months or so. I also wrote a 10 page short I'm going to make after that. Luckily I work in the industry and can get people to help me for free since people owe me a lot of favors.
