Small Things Like These

Leading up to Christmas in 1985, coal merchant Bill Furlong makes a discovery at a local convent that makes him confront secrets in the Irish town of New Ross.

Am I the only one who finds Millie Bobby Brown annoying as feck? Watching her on Stranger Things is one thing, but her on the Godzilla Kong movie, or worse - the tip of the cheeseburg Damsel and Enola Holmes was really pushing it.
Yeah I can't stand her.

Only saw the first Godzilla movie she was in...she was bland, but this is the same franchise that also eked a bland performance out of Bryan Cranston. Haven't seen the other two.

Agree with you. For me she was only good in Stranger Things.

Thought this was a joke when I saw the thumbnail but nope, they've actually made a shot-for-shot live action remake:

These live action remakes have been stinking failures, right?
Disney's appear to have been hit and miss, not that i've actually watched any of them. I'm not against a live-action version of HTTYD, given it's based on a book that's apparently very different from the original movie, but making it shot-for-shot feels like a lazy, lost opportunity.

I loved the original films, and I’ll probably watch this one because I have entirely too much time on my hands, but I don’t see the point.

Reenacting the animated version so exactly almost makes it feel like they’re dismissing it, like they’re saying “yeah, cartoons are for kids, here’s a proper version.”

Who the feck is going to watch this?
