Interesting thread.
Dave Matthews Band.
Bah, sellout!
Aqua
Idlewild
(probably not ''of all time'', but underrated nonetheless)
Saw them support Unkle on the Pysence Fiction tour years back.
Don't remenber if they were any good or not though..........Carling Premier, pound a pint
Nine Inch Nails
Faith No More
Mercyful Fate
Savatage
Rush
Simple Minds
Killing Joke
Judas Priest
Earth Wind And Fire
Sad that most gimps here don't have a fecking clue what "underrated" actually means.
The Doors
Another one: The Boys
Greatest power pop band you've probably never heard of.
Saw them live as well. Good band. I think I've still got a vinyl album of theirs knocking around.
Rush
The Doors
Mate, you are my personal hero of the day. Wish i would have been old enough back then. Guess 1977 was the last great year in the history of popular music.
It was an exciting time. This thread has brought back a lot of memories of great times. Some other bands come to mind 999, Subway Sect, Eater, Chelsea, Generation X, Utravox(before Midge Ure was the front man), The Stranglers, The Police,The Clash. I remember seeing a band, from France, called Little Bob Story. The lead singer was a Short fat bloke with glasses. Brilliant gig though. Don't know what became of them.
