We should do a thread like this in the general, not just for footballers.
No homo
I think there are some on here who can't decide what sex they are. Every year we seem to have one of these drooling at men threads. There is a moment when the generations and the sexes divide ...
After almost 80 posts and nobody said Juan Mata?
Memphis isn't that laughable, to be fair. He's got a bit of babyface going on
But also that he's a bit of a badass
Memphis? Really?
He did look like a gimp with his long hair.Has she seen this?

Like I said no offense! I'm glad girls/women join this forum too. I'm sure they do discuss more serious things than the topic of this particular thread.
Looks are subjective and all, but Pogba is fug, can we stop the handsome myth?
He oozes confidence and carries himself well, which in some cases is better than a handsome guy who's a slob, but looks wise, I wouldn't call him handsome.
Speak for yourself
Strong jawline, rugged facial features and has a great smile with big brown eyes, and nice lips.
But I have a big crush on him and I'm not even ashamed.
3 pages of white guy pics, haha.
The (not so) subtle racism of the beauty paradigm.
I also find Christen Press more attractive than Alex Morgan.I prefer
Looks like he was superimposed with Messi there. No Ibra no party.
That's some idiotic logic. People will post who they find attractive. Apart from the fact that there have been black players posted, saying its racism just feels like you're crying about it.
Fecking hell, you post some utter tripe.Though my Mido selection was a bit unorthodox, anyone that says Pogba is handsome has to be joking?

Let's be honest, the first post I quoted seems to be the general view i've seen about the majority of black players when it comes to their looks on this forum and many others i've come across
In that case
Not sure why you quoted my post, as it has feck all to do with race. Was simply pointing out the absurdity of the two bolded statements. On one hand, shamans admonishes another poster that this is a totally subjective thread. Then a page later, he goes on to question the sincerity of those who bring up Pogba. Not to derail the thread, but as a straight bloke, I find plenty of black women very very attractive. Not many of the black guys in here are what I'd call particularly good looking guys. I'd say the same about a fair few of the white guys posted in here, too. It's got feck all to do with racism, it's just personal preference/opinion.
In an effort to stay on topic, I'd say Andre Gomes and Marc Bartra are well worth a shout.
Ah sorry, thought you were arguing with his mention of Pogba. Now I see your pointNot sure why you quoted my post, as it has feck all to do with race. Not even sure what you're trying to imply, but you'll only look foolish, considering I'm mixed race (half black) and currently in a long term relationship with a black guyLet's be honest, the first post I quoted seems to be the general view i've seen about the majority of black players when it comes to their looks on this forum and many others i've come across
To be honest I think people's tastes are somewhat distorted when it comes to representation in media. We don't see as many black or other ethnic men and women as we do say white people. Asian men are usually stuck with the 'nerdy' tag and seen as unsexy, black men are usually seen as thuggish, black women usually seen as aggressive or less feminine etc.
All these things shape our tastes, and if you're not used to seeing people of a particular race then you're usually more critical of their looks.
This is part of the reason why representation in the media is important and why people of colour are more vocal about being included in movies/tv shows etc if all were used to seeing are white faces being the object of affection, then of course we'll grow up thinking Eurocentric features are the most desired.
