Most disappointing computer game

Hitman: Contracts - a class game itself but this was a waste, it was just a mix of missions from the previous games.

The latest Need for Speed.

Killed too many of my hours in life. Not a big player online and the like, like yourself.
 
GTA4 totally sucked balls! All that hype and for what? Very disappointing.
 
Worst PS3 game i have played so far has to be Lost: Via Domus, Think the TV series is ok but game was a let down in my opinion, I took it back day after purchasing & exchanged it for another title!!

You should know by now that 99% of video games based on movies or TV series (or vice versa) end up being awful.

They also tried to bring out Altered Beast on the PS2.

but i was severely disappointed that the "air role" only involved helicopters and not jets.

He meant the latest one. I agree it was a bit rubbish. Nowt beats the original Sensi and WoS.
 
Are you on my xbox list duffer? Will have to have a game sometime. I reckon I've put more hours into xbox SWOS than either of the Pro Evo games on the 360.

Thats an interesting point that alot of gamers seem to be making. The argument is that BioShock was dumbed down for console-gamers and that it loses all depth when compared to its spiritual predecessor system shock 2.

I dont buy the game as disappointing though, since I dont compare it to SS2 - infact its comes runner-up to mass effect as my game of the year for 2007.
 
Most dissapointing game though would have to be Assassins Creed offered so much, gave so little. What the f*ck is up with the ending as well.

Worst ending ever.

This is why I like what Microsoft is trying to do with XNA. I hate closed systems, and even if XNA isn't totally open, it does at least allow new talent to show itself. The amount of stuff that happened on the Amiga out of bedrooms and front rooms, the demos, and the games is what I would like to see again. Yes, this can be done on the PC, but it's not the same.

It's not completely disappointing, the story/atmosphere and sound are all excellent. It's just too straightforward and doesn't really do much new.

Plus, it (life the Thief3, Deus Ex 2, Splinter Cell double agent, etc...) is definitely in the new wave of dumbed down games. Tis a shame, because it could have been much more.
