Most depressing movies...

I remember watching 'Land Before Time' when I was a kid. When the one dinosaur's mother died in the movie, I thought my mom died as well for some reason.

I remember being traumatized

I mean just why:(

Fuuuuck... when Mufasa dies is a real tear-jerker.

Last time I watched it was a few years ago so I'd have been 13/14 but I remember a tear or two rolling down my cheek.

Get over it, Boss. He looks like a determined and resourceful professional succeeding against the demands of the 21st Century. The days of Fresh Prince are over, and that old hairline goes with them.

Who on earth makes a disney film in which the leading character realises that he can't have kids. Then his wife dies, and then he's left alone in the world to realise some stupid dream of floating across the world by tying balloons to his house!?

er ...disney?

Yeah Lilja 4-ever was depressing. Brilliant film mind you.

One that's not been mentioned. . .I thought Jacob's Ladder had a depressing ending(must be one of the most underrated films of all time)

The whole movie was pretty sad. I did enjoy it and rate it as a quality film.

That said one thought

How does his dying hallucination include meeting with some guy who he wouldve never met and learned knowledge which he couldn't have possibly known. I guess I dont really have a problem with him meeting the guy so much is that he learns about the Ladder, however I guess that is something that they needed to risk if they wanted to have a movie. The chiropractor was a great character.

One thing that I thought was good about the film is how they strung it along so well, and really showed a man in true torment. They concealed giving up the whole plot til the very end as well, yet gave major portions of it away right at the beginning, which I thought was good because it drew the audience in from the word go
