Not so good for either of themFully anticipate Kershaw throwing another gem tonight. Will Keuchel match or do better?

Kershaw’s reputation as a postseason underperformer only solidifying.
He’s been better than previous years, especially without the Cards in the picture. But this is the biggest game of the series so far, and he was given a 4 run lead. Not good for supposedly the best pitcher in the league to not be able to shut them down. This was his chance to prove the doubters wrong. He's been pretty dang good this postseason. Three wins in four starts with sub 3 ERA to date, with only the Arizona performance shaky (he got the win). Lights out in NLCS Game 5 and WS Game 1. He hasn't won or lost tonight's game - yet.
Maddux often struggled in the postseason. Bizarre how some of the best pitchers fail to perform in October.

Well, as I type this, he’s given another shot. Huge homer for the dodgers.
Well yes, but I’d rather lose game 1 than game 5 with the series tied 2-2. I’d wager the winner of game 5 in a 2-2 series ends up winning the series more often compared to the winner of game 1 although both would be in the majority (pure conjecture on my part but I’d be stunned if that was incorrect). Kershaw was dominant in game 1, but I expected him to shut them down with a 4 run lead.Every game is huge in the WS. One could argue Game 1 is important to start the series in front and set up the rest of the series. An elimination game is probably the true most important game.
FYI, he’s the best in my view as well, but you have to admit, his greatness is heavily skewed towards the regular season.no supposedly. kershaw is the best
