MLB 2016

So it just got interesting, right? How many innings do they play?

9. This is sudden death extra time.

Cleveland score one it goes to an 11th.
Cleveland score more than one, they win.
Chicago get one more out without another score, Chicago win.

Just fecking squeeled.

How can they not put the camera on LeBron even for a second after his celebration earlier on?

I'm not a Baseball fan but I'm glad I was up to watch this truly historic moment.

Commiserations to the Cleveland players.

Cubbies, 5th highest payroll in the MLB....Cleveland, 21st highest payroll....are you watching Dodgers?

Some of you know that I'm currently working on a project with a client in Chicago. It's not fully finalized, but we are doing due diligence. Last friday I told them that Cubs will win on game 7 and my company will land the contract :D

Well, one happened and waiting for the next :D

Good luck mate

Was in Wrigleyville the night Cubs clinched the conference. Incredible atmosphere then. I can't even imagine it now.

This is like a Royal Wedding in Chicago, two bank holidays Thurs-Fri. Long weekend of milking it, and they have every right to do so, insanity. But be prepared, this is essentially the shit you should expect if Liverpool ever win the title again.

Couldn't of asked for a better series, and more importantly, game 7. It's exactly what sport is all, flaws and pure drama. Played in pretty much great spirits too. Both sets of fans seemed terrific from what I can tell on social media. Sure they'll now be insane Cubs bandwagoners from nowhere, but whatever.

Theo the Curse Killer. or Theo the Comeback King. Whatever. He instills some kind of spirit from the top down.

America is the centre of the world is it not
'World Series' is one thing, in that has gained a different meaning from a literal standpoint over time.

But to say 'World Champion' is a different thing altogether...at least from an American perspective. Even the highly visible reporters on TV are saying it, which is amateur.

tbf, they only call themselves, generally, "world" champs in NFL, NBA and MLB. Sports which are pretty much massively exclusive to the Americas, and for those not in America, the aim is to be there.

Unlike say Hockey, while the NHL is still the pinnacle, they are generally referred to as the Stanley Cup champs as opposed to World Champs due to the fact it has a very strong following in other areas of the world who can legitimately threaten Canada and America in real international games. And the leagues in Russia and others are very strong with talent.
