I strongly remember Iouga being absolutely terrible. That Welsh winger Macco was extremely useful due to having shit balance and therefore falling over in the box all the time.

Macco was very usefull indeed  Castolo was a starter for me even when I had already gotten rid of 80% of the fake players in my team, he was that good :D

I remember having lots of fun playing PES 5, probably the most fun I've ever had with a football game.

ps: sorry for derailing the thread, but it's all Minanda's fault.

I don't know how he's been in Atletico, but he's been a massive upgrade over David Luiz in the NT, who should be banned from our team long ago..

Insane that Luiz was starting over him when he was part of the best center back pairing in Europe. Luiz's defending in that defeat to Germany was comical especially his positioning. Miranda would never have made those amateur mistakes.

Off to Inter apparently for £9 million.

That seems awfully cheap for a player like Miranda.

Why is he leaving? Do Athletico really need to sell him, as I thought he was a top CB?

Very poor last season. He's behind Giménez and Godin in the pecking order and has only a year left on his contract.

He was doing well until he got injured. Then 20 year old Gimenez stepped in and impressed so much that Miranda couldn't displace him when he came back. He was third choice by the end of the season and its probably the right time to sell him or he won't have much value i think £9m is a fair price. Still a very good player mind. Atletico also have Alderweireld so they're well stacked in the CB position.

Funny how he could being linked to us for 30m in the papers, then leaves to inter for 9m. Strange old fantasy world.

Last summer Atletico said he'd only leave for the release clause which was about 30m. This summer Giminez is ready to play as first choice and he's only got 12 months on his contract. It's not surprising the press don't read (or care about) the small print. In any case 30m deals will always sound like better headlines than 10m ones.
