Why? Who would be better? Fabregas on form is the only one who is up there in terms of ability and Pjanic has been much better in recent years. Cazorla maybe but he's had a huge injury. Nobody else is on that level.

Not at all, I like to think I'm actually pretty level headed and don't get too biased when discussing bosnian players (especially compared to other people from that part of the world who go way overboard). Dzeko was a terrific striker back then though. Just went to the wrong team which never suited him.But I'm not saying that Pjanic is up there with the best midfielders. It's just the premier league doesn't have anyone who is at the elite level in terms of midfielders. I saw someone above mentioned Silva. First of all, he's an attacking mid, I meant more normal center mids, and besides, Silva hasn't actually been very good for City this season. From other teams, who is the best in the league would you say? Fabregas who did feck all in all of 2015? Cazorla had the best claim but then picked up a big injury. That's why Pjanic, based on the last few years, has simply just outperformed all of them and why teams like Madrid, Barca, PSG and Bayern were interested in him
Still strange were linked with him when Cesc is here. Unless we play with 4 in the middle like Conte did at Juventus in which case we'd need a beast of a midfielder signed up as well.

Conte obviously is impressed with him, which is understandable, he is a quality midfielder and would be one of the best around in the PL.
I can see Conte wanting to replicate his midfield at Juventus and bringing in Pjanic along with a couple box to box midfielders.

Just can't imagine us lining up without Fabregas in the team.
Van Ginkel? He couldn't even get into the Stoke team. Don't see any way back for him. He'll be sold for sure.
He has been very good for PSV and is the type of midfielder Conte seems to like. I would rather RLC plays as he is perfect in that Pogba style of role but I would be worried going into the season with just him.
That's why I want Hiddink to play him every game now. So Conte and the fans can judge for themselves if he is ready to take that mantle on.
Fabregas is too erratic and possible attitude problems may convince Conte to get rid quickly.
