Messi transfer nonsense

Mourinho also said Zlatan was better than Ronaldo when they were at Inter. He quickly changed his tune on that
He also said Hazard is better than Ronaldo.
And then changing his mind

Mourinho would say Fellaini is the best ever if that helped Marouane staying happy while scoring a goal per game

Point taken. Mourinho doing Mourinho things.

Jose playing mind games clearly.

Messi will love playing with Lingard and Fellaini.

I can just see it now, Messi gets the ball at the halfway line, , skips past Emre Can, Unbelievable he has just put the ball through Lovrens legs twice in one move! Scoops the ball up to Lingard in the box , who was too busy practicing handshakes with Pogba to notice. Good thing that Fellaini was focused and determined, he heads it wide. United have been very unlucky.

City are probably the only club who could afford him (and that he would have any interest in coming to). Having said that, there is about as much chance of Messi leaving Barcelona as them selecting me to play for them.

Why couldn't Manchester United afford him? Or PSG?

“I've said this more than once," Pep Guardiola stated at the press conference. "Messi is going to end his career at Barcelona. And that's what I profoundly wish, that he ends his career in Barcelona."

What's the point in this thread?

Daily Mail: "Guardiola wishes career ending injury on Messi"

Let's just go for Griezmann come on, Messi is 29 and his contract ends in 2018.
Meaning he would be 31...

Besides, who believes for a second he would come to United? He will never leave Barcelona in my opinion.
Unless there is something going on with the Spanish tax issue...

He will never leave Barca, and neither should he. It would be like Scholes requesting a transfer from us, some guys just belongs at a certain club.

I said this before, regardless of club. Messi should only sign two year contracts and hold auctions every other summer. He could cash €50-60M just as a signing bonus every time. He´s the most beautiful hooker on the planet, but somehow he has a fixed price and a pimp.

You don't have to blackmail your employer to pay more when you're not paying taxes ;)

It would be a crime to football for Messi to play for any other European club than Barca. He should stay there until he ends his career, and maybe a cameo in Argentina.

I'm just astounded by the lack of basic football perception on this forum.

Sure, most of us know it's incredibly unlikely Messi will leave, but it's always nice to dream a little about getting the GOAT.

Next, Messi's playing profile is completely different from Ronaldo. Yes, at 31 and older he will lose speed, but have you seen Messi play? The ball control, passes and playmaking mean that he will probably be a top 10 player until his mid 30s. He's just that out-of-the-world good.

Lastly, Rooney is the best example of how a player's marketing prowess declines way slower than his actual playing abilities. This is primarily because the casual soccer fan or ones located in far away places in the world like Africa or Asia, are far more focused on marquee players with existing reputations than new ones. Messi's commercial weight and contribution to any club will be massive up until his retirement.

If this opportunity ever came, MUFC should be willing to pay a huge price to bring in the GOAT. If Mourinho disagrees, I'd fire him.

I could see Barca letting him go but only with part exchange for some younger players. Martial, Rashford, De Bruyne, Hazard, etc.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say there is no chance of this deal ever happening. Then again I said the same of Paul Pogba last season so who knows.

In any case, he can't do it on a cold night at Sto... Oh... that ones been done already. So, erm, yeah, he's to lightweight for the prem.
