Memento

I think you'll find he did post it in the right forum...you're just viewing it in the wrong order.

What part of it is a head feck? Was fairly self explanatory I thought.

It was obviously intended to be a head feck so stop trying to be a smart arse.

The whole story was going backwards yet forwards at the same time plus the whole Sammy Jankis story.

I understood the plot but it was still a head feck.

Wasn't trying to be a smart arse, I just thought it was made fairly apparent what was forwards and what was 'backwards' and that when ever it reached a point you'd seen, that it then went backwards once more.

The ending brought the story nicely to a close end (or should I say beginning) with a clear resolution. No Country for Old men is one film which totally mind fecked me, with the ending still having no clear resolution or answers.

Probably two intertwined timelines one going backwards and the other going forwards meeting. Some people seriously don't know what's going on, but that's how Nolan wanted you to feel.

I didn't find it that disorientating really. Quite a few a clearly defined devices which indicated which timeline the then narrative was.

Really?

I think me & you have a different translation of "head-feck" man. When i think of a head-feck flick - i think "The Shining" or "Twin Peaks" etc...

Just saw this for the first time. I think I would have loved it if I just understood it.:p Anyone care to explain what the feck happens? Is his wife dead? If so, who is the killer.

Haven't seen it in a while but from what I remember:

His wife survived the attack, but he accidentally kills her with an insulin overdose afterwards (the Sammy Jankis story). He's already found the original rapist and killed him, but since it didn't bring him solace, he's now helped by Teddy to find new "John G"s. Natalie sets up "Teddy" to be his next target, who he kills, then burns all the clues that lead him there, basically starting the cycle over again. EDIT - forgot that he also set Teddy up himself by noting down his number plate as the killer's, after he was told about his wife having diabetes

Nolan's best by a long way IMO.

I think it's probably his best, but The Prestige is still my favourite.
