Max Aarons

Cheated how?
Purposely playing the ball into the hand of the opponent to get a penalty, but its not like I expect anything else from that side.

Anyway Aarons looks like the real deal. Show evidence of great technical skill the way he moves with the ball, fast and agile, twist and turns, and enough upper body strength to not get pushed off the ball. Would be a great addition to our squad surely.

That was not cheating. Cheeky yes, cheating no. Don't be like Liverpool fans

His ability whilst dribbling is a joy to behold with his close control a testament to his technique. Would be the #1 choice for anyone who loves art of the pure attacking fullback.

Aarons is quicker than Trent from what i've seen of both players.

While all these physical talent are good advantage, a player needs to add intelligence and techniques to it also. Hence why I have always watched out for highly cerebral technical players. Trent is one. Aarons isn't on the same level but at least he's more technical than Bissaka.

Before we linked to him, I said we should get this guy. I have a feeling Max will become a better player than AWB, it's. Its not a reaction to his last night performance and i do believe Max has more potential

City negotiating Kouliby with a starting offer of 95m€ and 45M for Cancelo and 65M for Rodri

So when we are not doing that kind of deals we should atleast complete signings like Aaron's and Longsraff!

Aarons is technically brilliant. You obviously haven't seen much off him if you think his technique is questionable.

I'm not questioning Aarons' technique but the fact that Trent is more cerebral than Aarons as we speak now. Aarons' technique looks good to be honest albeit Trent is the better passer.

Trent is a good passer, that's true. Luke Shaw is also good in that regard.

Nowhere near as good a defender as AWB but better going forward

Other than being British I'm not sure why we'd be signing someone of his profile, unless we play 3 CBs and he's competing for a wingback spot.

I’d like to know how often you’ve watched Norwich this season. Seeing as their games were rarely televised last season, I can assume you’ve been attending the games in person?

We'd be signing him because of his huge potential at RB. And I don't know about anyone else, but i'd prefer a attacking fullback rather than a defensive one.

The defensive side of his game is underrated. He’s very good in one on one situations and was rarely caught out of position last season.

I didn't say I watched Aarons but even a clown would know Trent is highly cerebral than Aarons from Aarons highlights and what Trent has shown this season.

I thought Dalot was meant to be one of the most promising young right-backs in Europe?

His defensive game is very good from what I saw from him at Norwich. It's quite rare to see a teenage fullback with such a well rounded game at such a young age. I watched Norwich last season just because off Aarons.

So you haven’t watched him but you know what his strengths and weaknesses are...

For what it’s worth I live about half an hour from Carrow Road and consider Norwich somewhat of a second team. Believe me when I say the mental aspect of the game is probably his biggest strength. Let’s not forget Farke identified the RB position as a weakness, and so signed Marshall on a permanent deal and brought Passlack in on loan for competition. Within 5 games Aarons made the position his own. The level of consistency and his ability to deal with pressure (he made his debut away to Ipswich) is remarkable for someone so young. If we do sign him you won’t find him making brain farts often, nor will you see him out of position or beaten in one on one situations. The lads a star.

Feck, @Adnan and @ivaldo, got me torn as feck between AWB and Aarons now. I didn't realise Aarons was that decent defensively. The two footedness for me is a huge selling point.

Already got Dalot for that and with Arons I don't see it personally. We have a space for a RB with more experience and consistency than Dalot, but Arons has played even less in the premier league than he has.

I like the look of this kid. Should get him along with that Napoli guy. Will hold us in good stead for the season ahead. would be cheaper than AWB as well.

Tbf the jury is out on Dalot as a fullback. And it doesn't look like Ole rates him that highly either, if he's looking for a young fullback with limited experience in either AWB or Aarons.

Realistically it would be somewhere north of £18m + addons

That's fair enough. Considering the inflation it would be at par to what Sir Alex had invested in that young Portuguese winger whose cross is rumoured to have destroyed 1 or 2 satellites which happened to orbit around OT during the time. What was his name? Ah yeah Bebe

Give me an attacking fullback over a defensive one every time.

Even if he rates Dalot we still need another fullback. If you forget Darmian (given he wants to leave and we want to sell him) we only have three covering both LB and RB.

I wish we had a specific, detailed plan to bring in certain types of players to fit into a carefully thought out system.

If its true that Aarons is an alternative to AWB, then obviously we don't.

Does Ole want a more accomplished attacking full back or a more accomplished attacking one to fit into the system? If these stories are to be believed, then the answer is 'ah, whichever'.

Again, the defensive aspect of Aaron's game is severely underrated.

They know we were looking around 40-50m for AWB.

I can see them asking 30m for Aaron’s, he’s their best young talent.

AWB is EPL proven, Aaron is just an 19 year old who plays in the Championship. 20m will be tops.

Maybe we can throw 40m in fees and add-ons if they throw Ben Godfrey in the mix.

I am not a big fan of Ole but there might be a plan after all. If Di Marzio is right then we're also after Hysaj. He's a defensive FB, he can play on both flanks and he's available for 20-30m. Now lets assume Aarons is also available for 20m then that would be 40m for two players. Could it be the case that Ole is aiming for 2 defensive FBs (Hysaj and Shaw) backed by 2 attacking fbs (Dalot and Aarons?)?
