Mauro Icardi

I don't like Wanda, but the sister you're talking about here is something else, great looker
That Wanda looks like she would be filthy!. I agree though her sister is  definitely chose the wrong one.

Been followingfollowing this kid since he burst on the scene with Sampdoria, if we are looking for a leather finisher he the man,a good age to develop his all round game, I'm still unsure if he could handle the rigours of a BPL season.

For me he and Kane are the two standout young strikers across Europe at present, not much else coming off the ever decreasing production line for young talent.

His attitude sucks, my Italian pal just says he wants to be like Balotelli; controversial, but no one really cares. Everyone knows Balo is a little bit mental and Icardi just looks as though he's putting it on. He was a pro a while ago and just doesn't believe he wouldn't ever watch football with the team in the hotel, as that would be what the majority of them do. That aside, he does look as though he's developing as a player. Not sure he's what we need, I'd much sooner have Kovacic from inter.

Will he start for Inter tonight vs Celtic?
Should do, he is their leading striker usually. They do have Pazzini still and obviously Podolski now but he usually plays from the left.

Looked more capable of contributing creatively than normal, but he still makes no sense for us as a signing.

Only the exciting youth products. Pogba, Dybala, Icardi, F. Anderson.

I don't even see why we'd want him. If we move to a 433 he wouldn't be a starter anyways, and you could get cheaper options if you wanted more depth.

Plus, I think we have quite a nice sensible set of lads which LvG will like (Blind, Herrera, Mata etc), and he just seems like a trouble maker.

He can play all 3 positions behind the striker. You want to overpay massively for Bale, thats what we dont need.

Edit: Thought this was the Felipe Anderson thread. If we sell our 2 strikers, we need another one

I have no idea why we'd sign Icardi unless RVP, Falcao and Chicharito all leave.

I expect at least 2 of those 3 to leave, but he's a pure #9, not sure how we'd use him, if we bought him I'd worry Rooney would be heading into the AM role.

I sort of disagree. The wages are low enough that the Bundesliga, La Liga and the Prem should be raiding Serie A like vultures.

The quality is also low enough that the chances of them being successful are slim. Serie A is wank.

I find it mostly unwatchable, but there are talented players there to be bought. It's the tactics and palpable lack of enthusiasm and visual production that makes it wank.

2 surely, RvP hopefully too but i guess will stay another year.

The logical course of action is for RVP to stay a season or 2 after this and hopefully Wilson will learn and improve enough to be Rooney's backup for the 16-17 season. That gives him 17 or 29 months.

Chelsea have identified Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi as one of their main summer targets, sources have told ESPN FC.

Jose Mourinho will look to bolster his strikeforce again in the transfer window given some of the selection issues he's had following the injuries to Diego Costa, Loic Remy and Didier Drogba in the past few weeks.

Sources told ESPN FC that there has been initial contact between the London club and Inter over the 22-year-old, who has scored 16 league goals in 29 games so far this season, although Chelsea are looking at a few options.

This season has seen Drogba's role increasingly reduced and those around the club say it would be a surprise if the 37-year-old was expected to play the same bit-part role, despite the striker saying he plans to play on next season.

Mourinho would not elaborate when asked about the Ivorian's future following Chelsea's 2-1 win over Stoke City, which marked a digression from the definite way he spoke about how John Terry would be given a new contract.

With Chelsea weighing up their next move, Icardi is viewed as an option that would suit Mourinho: an abrasive forward who fits many of the Portuguese manager's ideals.

Sources also told ESPN FC that the club will try and sign a full-back, two back-up goalkeepers in the event of Petr Cech's likely departure, and maybe another midfielder depending on exits.

Much more the type of striker I see Mourinho favouring than Dybala.

I'm assuming Dybala would be a wide option for them and Icardi would be Costa's backup with Drogba retiring/leaving and Chelsea having 3 proper 9's as insurance for Costa's injury issues.

That seems very open for Mourinho, he always likes Willian on the right to balance out Hazard's freedom. It would blow if Chelsea got Dybala as well as Hazard, I don't mind if he goes to Juve or PSG but to see another one of these hugely gifted flair players go to a rival will be irritating.

Yeah, have always imagined Icardi playing for Chelsea for some reason. He's a Mourinho type player. Hard working and knows his job on the pitch. He's not as naturally talented as Dybala but he is one of the best strikers around for putting the ball in the back of the net. The problem with him is if his team isn't in the game then he is not going to be of much use, he relies a lot on the service behind him. As long as he gets the service though, he'll get goals.

overrated as f..k

Great chance shots over the bar

Then gets a pen which he takes
and misses

He wouldnt suit us, would rather keep Falcao. We need a faster and mobile striker. Icardi isnt the answer to our problems.

Our main problem upfront is the lack of movement off the ball, he doesn't seems that kind of striker.
