That's a very good point, Tuchel seemed to trust him heavily too.Yeah I think initially there was a reflex among Chelsea fans to be a bit precious about him given the narrative that he was a teacher's pet, Lampard's son, etc - but given how quickly an undoubtedly top class manager in Tuchel recognised his value I'd say that was moved past quickly.
Question for you though, with Kovacic rumoured to be going to City, Mount to United, who would you be more disappointed about losing?
