Mason Greenwood: can you put a value on him?

Sure we won't sell for any price, he's priceless. But if Sancho worth 120m, I'd say Greenwood would worth around 70-80m, due to his age and potential. But it could also be a gamble for other clubs to buy him for that price though, as he only has 1 season, and no one knows how he would turn out.

He is simply priceless from United's perspective. For arguments sake though, he'd probably cost a club at least £70m+.

100mil with similar clauses like martial rising to 150mil. Use that money to acquire sancho and deliver the title asap. Its important we start winning right now and nurturing can wait till we get to the top of the game once again.

Priceless. He is two-footed, young and a deadly finisher.

He is correctly valued at 60 mil, but if buyers wants him, we're looking at 120-150 mil.

I'd personally take 200 million pounds.

Priceless. He is two-footed, young and a deadly finisher.

Can't wait till next season when most coaches will tell their players to try and keep him off his left foot when he's in range to shoot, and we'll then see the full range of finishes he has with his right, with his left it's basically all power, with his right he can do the lot, power, dinks, chips ....

Obviously a big price tag for an eighteen year old.

But not as much as Rooney at the same age, who I would have rated around £150m in today’s market.

Not sure about the price, for us he is priceless as he is very talented player but how much would other clubs pay for him if he is available? 18 year old with close to 20 goals as wide forward, should fetch very good fee.

Then you add in other conditions like big club not wanting to sell, PL home grown player it would take huge fee to sign him from ManUtd.

I think it would take a few good appearances for England with goals to get him over the 100m mark before his 19th birthday, not that it matters but since this is all hypothetical why not.

He's not like Haaland, Mbappe, or Sancho yet where you feel their impact on pretty much every game. Mason goes invisible at times like almost every young player out there, but more so than those three at, or around his age.

I saw 45 mill on a well known website. Must be a wind-up.
There's a market estimate value and then there's a real value. A certain website evaluating him at 45 millions is not a wind-up, but the more important thing is that United will never sell him for this sum.

Would Bayern sell Davies for 60 mil? No, they'd ask for way more (and, most likely, won't sell him for any non-astronomic sum). Is Thiago's real worth 30 mil? No, it's more, and the website judges him accordingly – even with his current contract he's evaluated at 48 mil.

They need a system to evaluate players and it's not going to be the sum that the club would be willing to sell a player for – they need something more consistent and, well, objective. Is it ideal? No. Is there a better way to evaluate players systematically? Not currently.

His current value based on his goals is probably within £10 million of this. So maybe £50-£55 million. But theres no way we'd sell for his value, so if for example Real Madrid came in for him I'm sure we'd expect them to offer up a good £70 million+ before we would consider it.

Sell him and I am done with United.

Honestly, at the moment he is priceless. He can flor or can win the Ballon D’Or. He has the potential to become one of the best in the world, and I would prefer seeing how that works us with us rather than getting 50, 100 or even 150m. I rate him as much as Sancho and think that he is the best finisher (at his age) I have ever seen.
Agree 100% with this!

Hypothetically, say Greenwood wants out after we sign Sancho cause his place in the starting line up isn't guaranteed, no way he'll go for less than 100M that's the going rate for young players with world class potential

Priceless and irreplaceable, bar a swap with Mbappe ONLY. Not even Messi, Ronaldo, Neymar, Sancho, Lewandowski, KdB and the like.

We'd never sell him and I never want him to be sold. I'd say he's about 180m atm but who knows.

Look how much Felix moved for, I wouldn't expect anything under 100 million for one of the games best up and coming talents.

Realistically probably worth about £50-60 million in today's market but as you have already said, for Utd right now you simply wouldn't sell him for anything less than crazy money (£100m +) but nobody would bid that.

Hard to put a value on him, but I want to see him develop and succeed at Manchester United too much. The only player that comes to mind who I would even consider swapping him for would be Mbappe. So, whatever Mbappe is worth. Probably around that?

No-one would pay the amount that he's worth to us, if that makes sense. It would take well north of £100M for us to part with him, but no-ones paying that much for him (even ignoring Covid)

£250million, as this is the figure we would be tempted to sell at and if he has a great season next year which I expect him too, he will be 19 and still have a potential resale value at 22 of around £150- £200 million if he kicks on.

However knowone is going to offer us that for him at 19, it’s just too much risk And we wouldn’t sell for too much less as it wouldn’t make sense.

Basically he’ll have a more defineable price tag once he reaches 20 years old right now he’s untransferable as there’s too many unknowns.

Our net spend since 2013 is 600M (85M per season over 7 years). It looks like a lot because we havent sold a single player on profit like Liverpool did it on Suarez/Couthino.

But if I sell our best players to reduce the net spend ? I dont like that idea. I know the discussion here only for the valuation on Mason and I am sure he is around 100M mark.

Not really, the lad is a generational talent so I think you’re talking an offer of £250m+ before I would even consider it

Since nobody would offer that, he is effectively “priceless”
