The fact that he’s not on the app makes it pretty clear it’s an error. Something probably got updated on the site which restored the page in error or some shit.

He absolutely will not play for United again barring some crazy unknown context. The backlash would see sponsors pull out. If he’s not charged he will most definitely still have a career in football though - likely abroad to start with.

If it's not a mistake, and he was removed and now is back, maybe his agent or lawyer protested successfully against deleting him? Maybe it's some kind of unjustified devaluing of his brand or image or something, as long as he isn't charged or convicted yet, god knows what is in these contracts? A violation of his image rights? If I were to speculate.
