Out for the season, either way. At this stage we’re desperately hoping he’s back before next season.
Its no longer a career threatening injury. It used to be 20 years ago but NFL players get them far more often (this includes cornerbacks which need to move in every direction like a CB), and it is no longer career threatening. Its just a longer recovery than a normal ACL tear.

If you get to see the replay you'll definitely see pressure on the metatarsal just as he winced.

I haven't read anything, but I know that look from experience. I ruptured my right Achilles in 2006 and my left in 2008. I'm 99% sure that's what Martinez did. If so, he's out for the season. I didn't walk on my own for 9 months the first time, 6 months the second. I hope I'm wrong...

Yup. Then he grabbed the top of his foot. His hand never went anywhere near the back of his leg. When your Achilles goes it’s like being hit with an axe on the back of your leg. His reaction didn’t look like that at all.
