Marquinhos

He's pretty average in that regard. I think Bailly has the potential to be a great defender but whoever we eventually sign to be his long-term partner at CB, they really need to be a monster in the air and comfortable playing out from the back in order to compensate for Bailly's weaknesses in those areas.

Bailly is fine playing the ball from the back.

He would have to have a joint protest with Veratti for them to even think of selling him. And even then no.

Not interested at all, the few games I've seen he looks dodgy.

Plus we don't need another defender.

Is he really worth 60m+?
I dont think so, besides Bailly and Lindelof should be our starting CB's next season

Maybe jose would like to move to a 3 at the back?

Marquinhos has reiterated his desire to remain with Paris Saint-Germain despite Globo Esporte reporting interest from Manchester United, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Juventus.

United reportedly made an offer worth €70 million but Marquinhos, who has been a regular member of the PSG starting XI under Unai Emery, is only interested in extending his stay with the club.

"I have a contract until 2019 and talks are underway to extend that," the Brazil international told L'Equipe. "The new sporting director [Antero Henrique] had to be installed in order for negotiations to continue.

"I am relaxed, I have expressed my desire to stay with PSG so I am happy. It is also because of this that there have been so few rumours involving me this summer. It has been good because I have been able to enjoy my holidays in peace, without stress.

"I know that my future is in good hands, those of PSG, my agent [Giuliano Bertolucci] and my family. We are going to make the best decision."

Marco Verratti has also been linked away from PSG, but Marquinhos does not want nor expect the Italy international midfielder to depart this summer.

"I do not want to see him leave and frankly, I do not think he is going to leave us," Marquinhos said. "From afar, I have read things but I do not know the absolute truth.

"Marco has never told me that he wants to leave PSG. He is a great player and a very important element of this Parisian project, so I hope that he stays with us."

Does not seem like he is interested in leaving.

Would have been my first choice personally. I dont think he is worth 60m and for PSG he doesnt seem that confident in games I have seen and has made some mistakes. However when he was at Roma he was superb and he is still a highly talented defender that I think with the right move and a boost in confidence can be one of the best in the world, he really should move.

Barely seen anything of Lindelof to compare the two. I do wonder if he was our first choice and this bid if it happened was made before we went in for Lindelof. I cant believe we will spend close to 100m this summer on two centre backs when we need other positions strengthening. Even if we went to three at the back, when you think of it we already have plenty of players would be well suited to a back three probably already.

I think these rumours are basically either just that , rumours or a bid was made post Lindelof signing and rebuffed.

He's better than Lindelof so if he came I'd imagine he would be first choice.
