Marquinhos has reiterated his desire to remain with Paris Saint-Germain despite
Globo Esporte reporting interest from Manchester United, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Juventus.
United reportedly made an offer worth €70 million but Marquinhos, who has been a regular member of the PSG starting XI under Unai Emery, is only interested in extending his stay with the club.
"I have a contract until 2019 and talks are underway to extend that," the Brazil international
told L'Equipe. "The new sporting director [Antero Henrique] had to be installed in order for negotiations to continue.
"I am relaxed, I have expressed my desire to stay with PSG so I am happy. It is also because of this that there have been so few rumours involving me this summer. It has been good because I have been able to enjoy my holidays in peace, without stress.
"I know that my future is in good hands, those of PSG, my agent [Giuliano Bertolucci] and my family. We are going to make the best decision."
Marco Verratti has also been linked away from PSG, but Marquinhos does not want nor expect the Italy international midfielder to depart this summer.
"I do not want to see him leave and frankly, I do not think he is going to leave us," Marquinhos said. "From afar, I have read things but I do not know the absolute truth.
"Marco has never told me that he wants to leave PSG. He is a great player and a very important element of this Parisian project, so I hope that he stays with us."
