Heard he's not making the bench today because Lingard is back and LVG considers him as a wideman instead of striker apparently.
I don't think he was expected to make the bench, anyway. Fellaini is ahead of him for the striker role (and he's behind Martial and Memphis who will probably be starters).

Would make the bench instead of Varela imo (yeah he's not starting) if he's considered as a striker.
Yes, but we played 2 upfront last week. I don't think that's going to be the case today. It wouldn't be a surprise though, in any case. Just not expecting it, personally.

I think we should give him a go, we're lacking a true striker and he's putting them away for the under 21's.

He actually only has 1 u21 goal and has played a total of 60 minutes in the u21s. He only started playing as a striker last year too, so he is hardly a truer striker than Martial. I think everyone needs to play u21 football regularly before stepping up to the first team, the step up from u18s to first team is way too large.

 Sorry just made me chuckle.

Looks like Rashford is taking Will Keane's spot.. Training with the 1st team today, should be on the bench for the coming few weeks with Rooney and Keane out

Lets be optimistic...thats a goal and a half a game!
We are in such trouble if martial picks up an injury or gets sent off in the next couple of weeks

Think Januzaj has to be given a run upfront ahead of Rashford, him or Memphis.

Adnan's ineligible for the EL game, and he'll have to go the reserves route and build up fitness before Van Gaal throws him in to the 1st team

when he plays from the left he kinda reminds me of Martial, not as good at hold up play but freaking pacy and nice dribbler, while rooney's out I would try him from theleft as an left winger-forward

What I like most about Rashford is the pace of his development. He's only recently been played as a striker in the youth teams and he's really thrived when given the opportunity. He's fast and very strong for a smaller guy and he's now developing a striker's instinct. Playing him and Martial as wide forwards could offer United a greater attacking potency from wide areas.

Starting now.. Martial out. We might have to recall Ashley Fletcher and Nick Powell at this rate

Interested to see how he does. Another injury .. just incredible.

At this rate, we should just stop warming up before games altogether. Won't have any players left by April.

not seriously suggesting to drop the warm-up btw.

Like to see him use his pace a little more, played well so far though.

How tall is he? He has a real nice burst of pace in him.
