Marcus Rashford (out)

it was clear as day how everyone put a shift in at Anfield. Already the Rashford story seems a bit faded, a bit yesterday. Let’s hope someone like Conte thinks they can get a tune out of him. I loved when he was doing well. He’s blown it royally now. He seems neurotic, entitled, indulgent and immature. I never want to see Marcus in the shirt again.

Can't get much worse than this. Does not send a great message to the rest of the team you would think mate.

Can you imagine him doing that in front of a Keano? Rashford would be picking his knee from his stands.

Totally agree, you'd never get that performance with a passenger like Rashford in the team, no matter how many G+A he gets.

That ten Hag never saw this was one of the many reasons that he rightfully got sacked.

Wasn't there a tweet where it said AC Milan could cover his wages if he went there on loan? Certainly beats some opportunistic get a player for free that Dortmund would want.

We really love to keep our ‘rotten’ apples with us until the hold world finds out and then wonder why we can’t get a good fee.
Rashford should have been sold atleast 2 years ago, when the likes of PSG & Barcelona were rumoured to be interested.

It’s like the 8th management team he’s seen, it’s not a huge surprise he’s become apathetic to it

I found Andy Mittens comments worrying though. That apparently all of those managers have mentioned Marcus as an issue.

As I said in the Twitter thread, a loan is likely the best deal we can get this window unless he is open to a move to Saudi. He is done here and needs to move. Hopefully we do get some sort of a fee and he performs well enough to get a full transfer in the summer.

Really don't want to see any loan that ends up with him back in the summer. We all know it'll end up with loads of people demanding he returns to the team

Where is this from?

Southampton game earlier this season I think.

I'd say if you looked at his performance thread, there'll have been people there saying he was just holding him up or following instructions.

Edit: Actually it was Luton last season.

That's from the Luton game last season, it's Ross Barkley that's on the ball there.

Nah it’s Luton away last year, player on the ball was Ross Barkley

Can’t a rich club be interested in him and not talent development institute friggin Dortmund?

Links to Dortmund. Would probably be the most nauseating thing ever. Any half decent performance or moment would be tweeted out over 60 times by their cringeworthy social media team, and how much they love him — only to then offer us £7m and a signed Marco Reus shirt in the summer.

Yeah I can't stand them.

Let them exaggerate his performances for clicks. United are not getting any decent offers for him in his current state, it would be a loan at best from Italy.

But a crappy bit of flip flap skill in the CL league, cue 1000 posts online, cue gormless sports panels saying his mojo is BACK!!! Then United can flog him for £40m in the summer.

That's the point of loaning him though.

I doubt that Dortmund are interested in more than a half-season loan deal, with United still paying at least half if not more of his wages. No way they would agree to an obligation to buy, either.
According to Berger (Sky) Dortmund have only asked for the loan deal conditions and estimate chances for a deal happening to be low.

Yeah but more chance of selling a player in Dortmund's first team than there is if he's here but not in our matchday squads.

I'd love to see him stay and do well but that seems the least likely option at the moment.

Sure, anything's better than just keeping him the squad getting his full wages but with no playtime. Better to get him into the window at another club and hope for a decent transfer out in the summer if nobody is interested this window, as seems to be the case.

I can't see him coming back into the team either. He seems to be mentally checked out, and even if he wasn't it's still a question how he'd fit into the team and how well he'd do even if he was willing to try.

Could we not just loan him to one of these cnuts and then pretend that we don't know him when they try to send him back? Change the locks, paint the front door a different colour, etc.
