You seem very desperate for your agenda to be proven right. Signing a highly paid Premier League player is never going to be easy for clubs from abroad. That's also why Palmer is a bad example to bring up, because there's probably 2 or 3 teams outside of England at best, who might be able to afford him.
Also, your rambling is just full of incorrect claims.
Rashford didn't publicly announce his departure. Being "ready for a new challenge" doesn't mean he's 100% leaving.
Fabrizio Romano has reported the interest of Barcelona, AC Milan, Juventus, and Borussia Dortmund. Is he not credible anymore?
Are you really trying to convince me that if a player moves in the last days of the transfer window, that means there was no interest in them up until then?
The big clubs in Spain are generally the only ones in Europe that can match them. Either way we're not talking about matching them, as a loan scenario involves us paying a portion of his wages to make the deal happen. Just like we did with Sancho, just like we'll do for Antony.
As for the rest, i'm not entirely sure what you're on about:
""For me, personally, I think I'm ready for a new challenge and the next steps," Rashford, who has been at the club for almost 20 years, told Winter during a visit to his former primary school on Tuesday.
"When I leave it's going to be 'no hard feelings'. If I know that a situation is already bad I'm not going to make it worse."
Sure, he doesn't specifically state that he's 100% leaving, something he can't guarantee either way, but ready for a new challenge, next steps, when i leave. Winter spoke about it being the end game. You'd have to be fairly naive to consider the interview as anything else than Rashford stating that his intention is to leave the club sooner rather than later. Obviously, some people are pretty fecking naive.
As for the rest, i didn't state there was no interest. I said it seems fairly obvious there isn't much interest. Nor have i claimed that last day transfers indicate that there hasn't been any interest in the player up until then.
Claiming that there has been contact and that they will talk again in coming days, coming weeks, is vague at best. Rashford has been shopped around Europe for over a month now and the most concrete interest is "future talks are planned to understand feasibility of a loan"? That Barcelona might be interested if they can shift other players? That's some concrete fecking interest that. Player has stated his intention to leave, club is happy to let him go and the club is also happy to fund parts of his wages if it's a loan rather than a sale.
Given Rashfords performances over the past 1,5 year or so, his wages even when we cover a fair portion of it, i'd say there's a strong correlation between those factors and the lack of actual movement for him. While it would likely be the complete opposite if someone had tried to sign him the summer he signed a contract extension, there'd be plenty of clubs interested and moving fast to meet his personal terms.
But feel free to believe this is down to your version of the transfer window
