No, but we might get it from someone else if he does well (or at least Milan push up how much they will pay - especially if they sell Leao).
I think its more likely he performs OK to decent at best. He won't be setting the world on fire.

Unfortunately I'm thinking 35-45m he's a very risky buy.

You're probably right. Unless he either plays brilliantly at his loan club or will be willing to facilitate a move based on footballing pedigree and take a wage cut. Second scenario is less likely than the former, but both unlikely. Shame he ruled out Saudi. Would have been nice.

Do you actually think he'll put in good numbers? When was the last time he did this?
I firmly believe he will, and this is the frustration I have with him. Rashford is always a genuine goal threat when his head is right. He's been packing it in for 2 years here (and various seasons before then), but if he really applies himself, especially in a place like Italy, I feel he'll thrive for a short time (long enough to convince a team to want him) before the novelty wears off and he starts packing it in again.

Before every contract renewal his game has gone up many levels. He can definitely turn it on in Italy. I don't mind that we'll be sneered at for letting him go, I just want him out of our club

Happens because it’s Utd.

Can remember people laughing at us and claiming JLingz was a baller because he showed up for the odd game at West Ham.

They look pretty silly now the inevitable has played out.

That would be sufficient to improve his value from now in my view and I wouldn’t rule out that he does have a very strong few months - remember Lingard and he was nowhere near the player Rashford can be (still can’t believe we didn’t cash in on that WH spell).

Between 40 and 50m. Considering the wages and his goals/assists record, ignoring the mixed performances the last two seasons.

No fecking chance we're going to get that and how can you just ignore 3/4 of the last 2 years?
Sounds like something Dyche would say!

I reckon in his head he was expecting all the big dogs to start bidding wars for him. Hopefully gets a reality check.

I assumed that when he gave that silly "new challenge" interview, he must have already lined up his next club. But it seems the two clubs interested in him are Como and West Ham. Honestly, I think West Ham is exactly his level.

I'm honestly not sure what his level is these past two and a half years. Certainly not of a PL footballer. Even West Ham wide men will be expected to beat his man now and again, and put in a shift work-rate wise.

This deserved more
Goodbye, Lady Di?
Though our paths have never crossed
You had that way of strolling back
While those around you pressed?
They doubted you in training, but you
Pointed to your brain
You fed the hungry children
And then you took the Belfast plane

There was always an air of inevitability that this would happen when we got a new manager on board who started to demand standards. I thought it would take longer than it did, so it’s quite sad and quite damning that Rashford threw the towel in at the very first opportunity. Still, I’m glad he has as it shows where his attitude is at and shows - as he’s shown on the pitch - he just doesn’t have the fight for it anymore. And that is not what we need. I cannot wait for this whole circus to be over and he moves on to strolling round the pitch for a West Ham or an Everton, watching his own career fizzle out like a damp squib rather than setting the world on fire at his home club. What a waste and what an opportunity he’s passed up.

Rashford is far more risky. He's so lazy and lost some of his speed, there is a decent chance he would be useless for a club like AC Milan.

Sancho isn't as good physically in general, but he's technically better and works harder. He's never struggled to find a good team and even so we wouldn't get much for him either.
Lazy, 100%. Not fast, don't agree. Every interview (even recent ones) that you see from players he's trained with put him up as the fastest player they've played with.

While Sancho is definitely better technically with his close control, Rashford is more of a threat. And Sancho never worked harder for us than Rashford has, he was the same if not worse in terms of his workrate.

Brilliant

Thanks for reposting

He's going to be leaving, let's stop the disparaging comments about him. There's no need. Going separate ways is best for all parties, I wish him all the best wherever he goes.

Rashford har lost pace, there's no doubt about that.

When was the last time he really burned someone for pace? He even lost a race to f'kin Sam Morsy at Ipswich.

You can’t buy him for that though, that 25m wouldn’t even cover Rashford’s payoff for the rest of his contract at 125k a week.

£26 mill is the difference between his contract at Man Utd and a new contract at £125k a week. I think Man Utd would consider selling him at that fee. You dont think they would sell him for that? Why? Because you think he could prove to be worth more for a new club? Well, that is their incentive.

Imagine trying to sell him if he fail in Serie A. If we can sell him now and get £17 mill of our books, we should. Maybe a new club would do well waiting, but signing a player for less than £30 mill and paying him £125k is not a huge risk. Even for WHU or Serie A-clubs.

Oh, I thought his contract was up in 2027. I see now that the year is 2028. £36 mill makes it a bit more difficult.

Yes, Marcus is all about ambition and constantly pushing himself season after season to place himself among the very best. The man lost his spot for England last season and look what he did this season? The first sign of commitment and pressure, straight went to the media. He will happily do a Sanchez. Best we ignore he exists and plan a future without him. Should be allowed to train with the reserve to decrease his influence among first teamers, provided he rejected moves by February. Try again during summer. And next season should just skip egistering him if we meet HG quota.
Time to stick with the plan and be ruthless.

You just need to look at Sancho at Chelsea, Rashford hasn't had that work rate in many years.

Rashford has lost a lot of speed, he struggles to beat players now.

With the wages Rashford is on I’d be happy with anything from £30 million as his wages alone are £15 million a year and as an academy product that £30 million would go down as pure profit, that all frees up a hell of a lot of money for the club PSR wise.

We have to be realistic as Rashford is third choice striker behind Hojlund and Zirkzee whilst behind Fernandes, Diallo, Garnacho, Zirkzee and even Eriksen as one of the two behind the striker so all this talk of we should be getting £50+ million is ridiculous and the longer this saga goes on for the lower his value is.

If we manage to get Casemiro and Rashford both off the wage bill this month and brought in say £50 million combined that’s nearly £34 million off the wage bill with a big profit PSR wise, if we then brought in Douglas Luiz and a forward on loans as well as say Alvaro on his buyback clause that would be a very good window financially and squad balance wise.

Stumbled across this YT short. Kind of sums it up.

Let's start a bit of a bidding war to push the price up. There is no way he is a 20m player and I would love if we could swap with with that Napoli player that we can never spell his name

We probably have to take less of a fee to get teams to take on all of his wage.

I mean it's possible due to the talks with the Italian clubs that he may have informed someone if Arsenal were interested.
Yeah but I dont see that as hugely credible, all of a sudden its grapevine talk. I think if there was genuine interest from a PL club it comes from a PL centric journalist who has links with either club directly.

I'm not commenting on the likelihood of that occurring simply that it was plausible on some level.

When you said 'called it' it just appeared otherwise.

But yes Rashford to Arsenal is plausible, as is Rashford to about 10 other clubs.
