Honestly, I don’t think you will accept any reasonable point on this topic. If Rashford is back in the team shortly, it clearly means some sort of agreement has been reached. If the current media briefings are just from Rashford, with no club involvement, what would lead to him being back in the team?
You’re not making any sense. Not entirely sure why you’ve convinced yourself that some sort of agreement have to be reached? Amorim has already been fairly straightforward about what is required, and he early on opened the door for Rashfords return to the team by pointing out that the challenge could just as well be at Manchester United, and that the interview was ill-advised by the people around him, and that people around players like Rashford aren’t always acting in their best interest. The most reasonable explanation for Rashford returning to the team is that he’s performing better in training and living up to the standards set by the manager, something the vast majority would be happy to see.
As always, you seem completely incapable of looking at the bigger picture. It’s a badly kept secret that Rashford has one foot in «he could be great» and one foot in «it would be great to sell him», he has barely put in consecutive solid performances since the few months after the world cup. Manchester United doesn’t need to advertise that the club is interested in selling him, Manchester United doesn’t have to leak negative stories about Rashford to the press, what Manchester United desperately need is a decent club that’s actually interested in signing Marcus Rashford. For some bizarre reason, a select few fanboys have decided that the club is doing character assassination by leaking shit to the press, but they’re all unable to explain it. From the outside, one of the biggest perceived issues at the club has been overpaying, both wages and transfer fees, to/for players that simply aren’t worth it. Since Fergie retired, we’ve barely sold a player that’s moved on to perform better at a bigger club, it’s not a good sign or overall look. The club achieves absolutely nothing whatsoever by leaking that Rashford is a walking problem child, he’s an academy product and such a bad egg that the club would let it be known they desperately want him gone as part of a cultural reboot, yeah that’s certainly going to have clubs lined up ready to sign him.
At the end of the day, Amorim made his comments about Garnacho and Rashford. Rashford and his team decided that an appropriate response was «I’m better than this shit so i’m off» by conducting a planned interview with Winter where it was clearly stated that his intentions are to move on, ready for the next challenge, next steps, always looking to improve yadayada. It’s annoying enough to respond like that when he has someone lined up ready to sign him, but it’s fecking stupid beyond every level there is to make such an interview without actually having someone standing there ready to fork out a transfer fee and wages. It’s put all parties in a shit situation.
Best case is that the knobheads realise the situation for what it is, that despite going public with the intention to leave over two weeks ago, there’s not much concrete interest for a player that’s convinced he’s «it» but in reality he’s a 27 year old player that hasn’t performed well for years combined with being one of the top earners in the Premier League. Maybe it will be a proper wake up call for him, one he badly needs.
