Marcus Rashford (Out) | Rashford: “For me, personally, I think I'm ready for a new challenge and the next steps.”

Actually, you know what, start him against Liverpool.

If this 100% talk is true, there is no better litmus test than seeing how willing he is to work when facing our biggest rivals as we're circling the drain. He doesn't need to score, or beat Arnold a dozen times. Just see if he'll work hard. Put the ball in his court.

Seeing all these media reports it's hard not to be cynical.

I am a fan of Rashford's but all this just comes across like he thought Europe's elite would be in for him, he's found out nobody in Europe will pay him better than United and now it's all 'Rashford's willing to stay.'

He's like the fella who's in a relationship, starts a tinder profile to assess his options, gets no matches with anyone better than his current girl, then 'decides' to stay with his other half.

If PSG had come knocking would we be getting these stories about how hard he's been training and how he actually isn't that fussed about leaving?

Haha I love how "surprised" the players are every time one of them is called out in public for underperforming. Have any of them even glanced at the table in the last 2 years!?

I'm "surprised" that Marcus PR department looked at his 4 goals scored in the league and thought, lets bring everyone's attention to that!

FFS get rid of him asap.
Any player surprised can join him on the way out!

If he's not willing to go to Saudi and presumably wouldn't want to stay in the Prem, Italy seems like the only real option for him. Swap him for Osimhen or Kvaratshkeila and let him link up with Lukaku and McTominay - it'd be an easy transition for him and he'd shine.

I find it hard to believe he is really that unaware of the situation.

After all, he saw how hard it was for Sancho to find a club.

He would go there and win Serie A.

Good chance McTominay does.

Very much doubt Napoli would want rid of Kvaratshkeila.

My thoughts excatly.

Well said mate.

Please get rid of him a.s.a.p...I´m so sick and tired of players like him that think they are bigger then the club and cannot be arsed to put in a effort despite being on huge wages. I would not mind him having off games but it´s the same as with Pogba and others...the sight of supposed top sportsmen not giving their all in every game drives me mad. Track back, run into open spaces and fight for the fecking ball. And people in spades making constant excuses for these primadonnas. Give me a break..look around you at every hardworking person and ask if they could behave like these guy´s do? To much money too young is the thing these chaps have in common. You can not carry passengers in modern football...we have had way to many of those over the last decade. Hard work is the foundation of every good team. Get rid and let the manager bring in players willing to put in the work needed.

Rashford is never going to Saudi now. No doubt he'll fancy the MLS at some point to finish his career, but he knows he can still earn so much in Europe. The headlines alone over the past month have been ridiculous for a player who has been close to useless for the last two years. If Rashford didn't want the attention, I'm pretty sure he could distinguish all the attention himself, any time he wanted.

He simply does not deserve to be back playing for Manchester United. It's actually pathetic now after so many second chances. Just leave!

He figured that nobody in Europe fancies him certainly not on the wages he’s currently on, sick of this guy really. Amorim should make it clear to him that he has no place in the team no matter what.

He must be incredibly dumb to do that interview without having a solid option lined up. He's just pulled a Ronaldo, without being Ronaldo

Footballers exist in a world where self belief is key, and it's constantly fanned by their entourage.

Rashford won't be thinking about what happened to Sancho, Martial, Pogba, Lingard, Alexis etc. He'll have been thinking that was them, this is me.

It's the way he has to think to avoid how self doubt could effect him on the pitch. However, reality will be settling in now.

So to summaries the news today:

- Players have been ‘impressed’ by Rashford’s training
- Players are ‘surprised’ that he has been left out of the team despite how impressive he has shown in training and being our top goal scorer.
- Rashford has rejected £675k a week offer from Saudi.

Sounds like someone is trying hard to get him a move to an European league.

The players are only impressed as they did not think he could run in training

Funny how the news about him always make him sound like such a great guy. You wouldn't think we were talking about the same arrogant lazy arse who every manager has had a problem with

Yes, no team in Europe wants or can afford him and he doesn't believe the Saudi league is good enough yet.

So he will wait it out at Old Trafford and keep spewing his PR nuggets about training hard, desire, fight ....

His days of promise are well gone, downhill like falling of a cliff.

We are stuck with him it seems.

It feels like the club has failed to find a buyer and is now desperately trying to rescue the situation. Crazy to have got ourselves in this position without a solid plan to get him out.

Clearly. Stupid move by the club to do an interview where they stated that they believed Rashford was ready for a new challenge and the next steps somewhere else, without actually having a decent club in Europe interested in signing him.

No wait, Marcus Rashford did the interview.

It doesn’t sound like that at all. All of that is Rashford side PR.

I think it’s joint. The training stuff sounds club generated to me. The acid test will be whether he’s back on the pitch again this month.

Careful wording heh? Rashford. Doesn't say Ruben is impressed, who cares what his buddies think!

Ofcourse you do.
Do you agree that if Rashford is back in the team shortly it suggests this is a club generated approach? I’ll happily accept if Rashford isn’t back on the pitch in January that this is all probably from Rashford’s team.

Delusional drivel. The piece is clearly from the Rashford camp, and to be honest they’re doing their him no favours with this garbage. Just telling him to get his head down and stay focussed would be the play, but they’re too busy blowing smoke up his arse and telling him it’s all the rest of the world that’s wrong. I thought you were being sarcastic at first but a quick browse through this thread leads me to believe that you’re well and truly entrenched in your position and believe this.

"he knows he can still earn so much in Europe"

If he really rejected multiple proposals from Saudi Arabia, then surely it's for sporting reasons that he wants to stay in Europe?

I personally don't trust what he says or his team briefs to the press.
