Excellent when he came on, what a header! Just one short of a hundred for United now I think?
He always seems to destroy the small teams and looks a few tiers above whenever he gets brought on or starts in them. League cup, europa league... he just tears them up and looks far better than anyone else. Not sure why the others can't show that uptick in level like he can in these games.

Rashford so close to being back to his 2019-2020 form. Great to see.
Looking far fitter and more agile, and a much bigger threat as a result. Hope he can continue to improve and fulfill his potential finally.
Currently that's our best starting 11, Sancho needs to start pulling his weight though, hopefully his rest tonight will do him good.
If we can get Sancho confident and playing well, we can win every game before the world cup break which will put us in an excellent position.

I thought he was lively due to having a bit of space for himself around. It is why I thought ETH should have left Ronaldo in the field with Rashford in the Newcastle game. Both of them are better as free roaming forwards but of course both of them also get benefits from not getting focused alone in the middle.
What I liked the most, was a purposeful and technically sound header. He seems maybe to have practiced a bit on this weak aspect of his game.
Excellent headed goal, really powered that home, much better. Needs to learn to place his shots sometimes, instead of blasting the ball as hard as he can every time.

He can't time his jumps right, so I do not expect him to score many headers, but this was an excellent goal.

A few players are looking much more leaner and agile this season Rashy, Shaw and now Maguire.
The complexion of the game changed once we went 4-4-2 with him alongside Ronaldo and Bruno shunted wide right. It reduces Bruno's influence but there is far lesser overlap between Ronaldo and Rashford when Ronaldo drops deep to get on the ball and it also gives the benefit of having two forwards in the box.
Been working on his headers? Will he be like Ronaldo and suddenly become a headering beast or was it just a fluke?
Great to see Marcus get on the scoresheet last night. He's had a string of misses lately that have to have been bad for his confidence. Seeing a fantastic header hit the back of the net has got to give him a lift.
He just seems to have found his pace and old fitness level, so much better and a well taken goal. No stupid hair either, maybe that was the reason after all
Very true. Fitness levels seem to be improving, which will only help the way EtH wants us to play.

Side note - if he scores on Sunday and has 100 goals for United at 24 (turns 25 on Monday I think) that is a fantastic achievement. If he could vary his finishing as Henry suggested for example he could easily score another 100-150 for us. But yea, being on 99 at 24 really is impressive.

I doubted him a lot, but he looks electric now, a bit like young Ronaldo (with a bit less of ball control but he will be deadly from the left wing running at defences). We need to find a striker that suits him.

He's back to the level where he's not just covering poor performances with goals but is an active threat whenever he's on the ball. Last time he was at this level I thought he was going to develop into a 35+ goal a season player, let's hope this time the penny's dropped. His performances compared to the last 2 seasons are night and day. Also on 99 United goals as things stand, he's close to joining an exclusive club.
Fell asleep after 20 minutes but it was a lovely header from the highlights. He's been our most productive attacker this season so far.
10 G+A contributions in 14 games. And getting goals against Liverpool and Arsenal is a pretty good thing for us.

With Shaw overlapping or even underlapping. They have timed that to perfection, Shaw's always 1 cm onside when Rashford puts him through.
