The fecking chutzpah to try that at that time of the game is impressive.

It’s a lovely bit of skill and with a purpose as well. It probably helped create some of the space for Weggy and Rashford’s movement was then fantastic to get himself some space for the chance. Fairly horrible shot then admittedly but he put himself in position to get the luck.

Look no further than any of his England or club teammates talking about the things that he can pull off in training to know he most likely actually did intend that

Don't get why it's debateable he meant it, he clearly played for it. Antony did one of those tricks against Barca where he controlled a cross with his other foot (like a rabona but controlling the ball) which I think a lot of people missed. We're developing a very silky front line bar Weggy the Workhorse.

Unless we sign Mbappe it seems like there is no better candidate for the 7 shirt than him.

It's debatable because it's a fecking outrageous skill, I don't think I've ever seen that before as the degree of difficulty is through the roof.

I could be wrong of course but I think the first touch wasn't intentional but he reacts quickly to make the second heel flick which is still impressive in itself.

If he did mean it then feck me he's a lot more skilled than I thought.

It'd be impossible to react that fast to what would have been a miskick to make it seem like it was all intended. It's clearly intended.

It’s not - if you’re letting the first touch drop onto the second touch I’d bet you, or anyone who played a bit of football in general and is in shape, could do it within a few tries. I think he improvised when he saw where Wout was. Still to do it in a game is outrageous and to play it accurately as a pass even more so but the skill itself was clearly meant.

I’m so happy for him that he was awarded the goal.

Like I said I could be wrong but I just don't see it. Even his reaction after he plays the balls looks as if its for a loose ball rather than an intended pass.

Either way it led to a goal and you can bet I'm telling rival fans he meant it :D

The no.10 shirt he has is quite storied itself in fairness. I assume Sir Bobby and the Lawman must have worn it from time to time for example. Ruud of course. Yorke maybe?

On the Carabao Cup website

Dalot Teixeira?
dos Santos?
Rodrigues de Paula Santos?
Borges Fernandes?

What are they playing at???

What is really shocking is that the highlights I’ve seen all managed to omit that part of the attack. Bleedin football incompetent producers.

probably because the commentators at the time and at halftime both referred to it as a lucky touch.
