He is not a starter. He creates goals, his output is very good
And at the moment, only Rashford is scoring them, which was my initial point.

Some people are able to consider the fact we literally saw him getting injured on Saturday. You can then use that information to compare his performance tonight against what he’s been doing all season and come to a reasonable conclusion that perhaps he wasn’t fully fit. Or you could just ignore that and join 90% of the rest of the posters in here spouting shite. How come when everyone else has a shit game, it's because they had a shit game, but when Rashford has a shit game it's because he must have some kind of phantom injury or fitness issue?
He could have had an assist if he played with the intention to not be blind to his teammates around him. He was just going for his personal record and that's what cost us in the end.Rashford almost always struggles against deep lying teams but tonight he was playing for personal glory not his team and Ten Hag should give him the bollocking he deserves

Wait until you're blue in the face. They had bad games, but if you can't understand the difference that's on you. What did Antony and Weghorst do then? Don't worry, I'll wait.
He really wasn’t though. Even if he were, adrenaline can carry you through. He wasn’t able to get away from players tonight like we have seen him doing with ease all season. There’s an argument that he needs to be smarter and not try that if he knows he’s not 100% but at the same time, he’s a player high on confidence who is capable of winning games. Every goalscorer is selfish and this nonsense that being selfish is somewhat unique to him is absolute lunacy. He was fine in the second half of that game after this supposed injury, though. His performance today was poor because of selfishness and decision making. Didn't seem to be an issue of fitness at all.
The one time he got his head up and played a smart pass, we ended up scoring.
Shite against City? Go to sleep.

You're ignoring the fact that this is more than just having a bad game. Did you not watch the game? There were 3-4 promising counter attacks that came to absolutely nothing because he decided to dribble. He point blank put his stats before the team, and that's not an opinion but a fact everyone can see with their own two eyes. Some people are able to consider the fact we literally saw him getting injured on Saturday. This is what I was most disappointed with. He let the personal record of scoring in each game get to his head. A few times late in the second half he tried to take 3/4 players on when the overlap pass was on. It’s really disappointing from a player that I thought didn’t care about the personal glory as long as the team was winning. He assumed we'd win & went all out for his personal record. Ridiculous, brainless performance like the Rashford of old. I'd be absolutely berating him if I were Garnacho or Bruno right now.

Missed two big chances. Gave the ball away a lot or was just on the periphery. Got a goal obviously but his all round performance wasn't there for me. He even nearly cost us the winner with his lack of awareness.
I thought he was noticeably more restricted in the second half against City when it came to running at full speed. He was fine in the second half of that game after this supposed injury, though. I'm not looking for anything. I saw what transpired and stated a fact. He wasted counter attacks to put the game away, not because he took the right option and it didn't come off, not because he had an off day in fornt of goal, but because he was chasing individual statistics. This happened clear as day and it's not an opinion.Looks like i'll have to, seeing as you can't answer.
Feck all are the words you're looking for.
Has the manager or the player said he is still facing issues with that injury? He seemed fine second half against City and even today it's not like he was not making runs. Today was more an issue with him being selfish rather than help get United the second goal. Had chances to set up a teammate but kept running into cul-de-sacs. Those issues were not injury related. Some people are able to consider the fact we literally saw him getting injured on Saturday. He’s been dribbling all fecking season and winning us games. I’ll take the odd bad game if he continues to win us games every other week like he has been. He’s been carrying our attack all season and we’d be down with Liverpool without him. I think that carries more weight than one bad game where he blatantly wasn’t fit. Especially when our only other senior attacker sat at home again. You're ignoring the fact that this is more than just having a bad game. Did you not watch the game? Looked fairly obvious just by watching him. He couldn’t get away from defenders. Those decisions he made don’t look as bad if he gets away from his defenders and scores or lays one on a plate for somebody else which he has been doing all season.Has the manager or the player said he is still facing issues with that injury? He should dribble when the situation calls for it. His dribbling attempts in the second half were blatantly the wrong option and he only tried it because he wanted to keep his scoring streak alive. He’s been dribbling all fecking season and winning us games. Yes. Let’s just ignore the mountain of evidence in every other game he’s carried our attack in for months. One game carries considerably more weight than that. feck me. Another for the ignore list.Fortunately this group of people is in the minority, otherwise we will all be using injuries and fitness excuses to pretty much all the players who have been tackled and challenged on the pitch.
But of course with Rashford, his poor decision and selfishness today is down to his ‘injury’ that occurred from the last game.
I'll do my best to try to help you understand one more time. It's ok to have a bad game. Other players in attack had bad games. Other players in attack DID NOT decide to take on 3-4 defenders and waste counter attacks that could have put the game away. He did that because he wanted to keep his scoring streak alive. None of that is my opinion.I clearly identified he was poor and said how reliant we are on him. I then asked what attacking players stepped up when Marcus had an off game. Unsurprisingly, you could't give me an answer.
Your memory is letting you down then. He has six assists. Second only to Eriksen who takes set pieces. That’s one thing he most definitely hasn’t been doing all season. The closest I can think of was the Antony assist, which I’m not entirely sure wasn’t an attempted shot.

No he isn’t ….how does that work if we want to challenge, our supposedly best players have a day off? He‘s allowed a bad game. It was a really terrible second half from him though.

And I guess we watched the same match - you didn’t get the impression his decision making was abysmal today?I genuinely wonder if half the people on this forum even watch football.
Decision making is a part of the game too. When you ignore your teammates and try to pull off things with a high degree of difficulty, that you'd have very little chance pulling off fully fit, then that's what it comes down to and whether he's fit or not is meaningless. Prime Messi would have had a hard time pulling off some of things he tried today, and he decided to try them because he wanted his goal streak to continue.Looked fairly obvious just by watching him. He couldn’t get away from defenders. Those decisions he made don’t look as bad if he gets away from his defenders and scores or lays one on a plate for somebody else which he has been doing all season.

The fact that he is perfectly capable of setting up goals and has shown it this season makes what he decided to do tonight even worse.Wouldn’t be the first time! Can you remind me of him putting a goal on a plate for someone?
He's not allowed to chase individual glory at the expense of the result. Take that away and he wasn't even that bad. He's allowed a bad game. It was a really terrible second half from him though.
