Level on 90+min winning goals for United.

Scholes and Van Persie the other two players that scored 2 stoppage time winning goals.

TBF if he hadn't scored that winner I would have slaughtered him to almost no end but he redeemed himself with that winner so no problem, just improve your finishing lad. :D
Same I was ready to go in hard if he never scored the winner. :D the knives were being sharpened. couldn't believe the chance he missed.

The comments on here for one of our own lads. Embarrasing.

Hope he enjoyes his 21st birthday and can vo on a decent run. He wont ever be a RVP but he certainly is worth investing many years in.

Worth watching his movement for his goal. Near post feint and then backing off just behind Ake. Really engineered that half yard to draw Ake just under the flight of the ball.

Almost ballsed up the finish though.

Without bashing Lukaku I don't see him engineering space like that with his movement, though to be fair he's normally good at winning the physical battle at the back post.

Just love his willingness to play on the shoulder and run behind. It keeps defenders guessing and we don’t have that element of doubt when he is not in the team

Saw that as well, Chicha like.

Low key think he ran past Pogba to celebrate with the crowd because he doesn't like him :nervous:

He tried his best to miss the goal as well. Poorly timed jump and a poor clearance allowed him to score or else he would have surely got some shit in here.

He's got potential but the English media overrate him too much. He can be a good player for us but so far the minutes he gets are correct .he's not an automatic starter and he has to fight for his place with the others. Martial is the one that has got his position locked down atm but the other positions are up for grabs.

Nah, poor ball from Pogba. Rashford met it in a timely fashion but the thing was so low it nearly hit him in the bollocks. He did well but this forum will skewer players for scoring last minute winners.

I love the idea of him more than I love the reality, if that makes any sense? I love that he’s a local academy talent with a mercurial rise and a genuine chance of forging a great career, but I’m also not entirely convinced his ceiling is nearly as high as some think it is, or that he’s really good enough to command the kind of playing time the media (and some of our fans) seem to insist he is... if he was a Rooney/Owen level wunderkind with a consistent output to match, sure, but I’m confused as to why anyone thinks a club of our size and profile should be obliged to play him into form as a starting striker...

My biggest disappointment with him as a wide player is that he’s failed to capitalise on just how good of a crosser he can be.
I totally get what you mean. I said as much after the match, that he should be behind Sanchez in the line. Lukaku obviously, should be behind Rashford as of now imo. Both need to prove themselves on a level higher than their competitors to win a starting berth.

I think Rashford’s movement and willingness to make runs the whole time he played vs Everton helped the rest of the attack to function better than Lukaku will. Sanchez has the same qualities, and is much more creative and cool headed. Everyone should in the starting XI should be there on merit, Rashford isn’t there at the moment.

Juventus 1:2 Man Utd
The lad is shite 1v1. Has he ever scored one? Not a striker, not a winger, not United quality.

''but..but he's young and local'' argument has died a long time ago.

He played well when he came on, judging only on a finish is strange. Yes, he should have tried a more subtle finish but his movement was causing them trouble.

Agree that was shit miss but he looked more dangerous in less minutes than Sanchez did entire game. And I don't remember Sanchez being local lad.

Should have buried that at the end of the game.
Hopefully he gets his confidence back.

They have to work on his 1 on 1's in training more... he just hit hard all the time. That miss really p!ssed me off as he was clear!! And we could have paid for that terrible miss.

The lad is not a natural finisher, spends too much time dropping far to deep where his pace cannot be used and his lack of awareness/passing means he's useless 40 yards from goal. Needs to consistently, all game work the centre backs, dragging them around with runs and threatening them in behind so they back off and add more space for the midfield.

Alas 1v1 he lacks the ice in his veins and just wellies the ball.

Why the feck is he always putting power instead of placing. Its as if he us closing his eyes and just going for a power shot assuming it will go in.

Cant get an easier chance than that one against Juve, lazy definition. It will not get highlighted because we got the victory but if Juve managed to score at the last minute we would be destroying him.

If you want to be a regular player at a top team you got to convert those chances, doesnt matter if you are 33 or 17.

Played well I think. The game was set up for him.

Should have scored of course. Will come with time though. Needed a dink.

Lack of composure. Hopefully experience will fix that, because he clearly has the ability. He's just making poor decisions still.

Has he ever scored one? I can recall several chances over past year where he could have tried it. As a striker I wouldn't mind if he placed it or ripped it in but he has to deliver these easy chances.

He did play well when he came on but those chances simply have to be put away at this level. That's meat and drink for any striker worth his salt. I love Marcus as much as anyone but I'm disappointed with that one tbh he has to score it

I don't know how you can say he played well when he was barely involved apart from the chance that he missed.

And the other half chance when he turned, stuck it wide of the near post, nice sharp piece of play. Plenty of movement and energy. Utd barely has the ball up to the final 10 when Juve tried to sit on it so opportunities for the attackers were limited.

He missed a chance when the game was already over.

Looked lively when he came on. He needs to put overtime on the training pitch on his finishing though. His one on one finishing is Welbeck level. He misses so so many.

Can hit a ball from 30 yards but I wouldn't trust him to finish his dinner. Has to be burying that ffs!

Another game, another big miss. He'll never be a centre forward here. We need to start focusing him on a different position.

I'd still use him on the right when Mata isn't playing for the simple fact that he has pace and will actually attempt to run at defenders. He's more of a problem for teams than Lingard is.

Won't ever be the player people, particularly those in the media, think he will be. Massively over-rated in my opinion. Very poor finisher and not great vision either. Will be a squad player at best if we get back to where we want to be as a club. Won't ever be good enough to be a starter in a championship winning team

I wish he'd try vary his shots. Can't always be smashing them at the keeper.

Other than that, he was decent.
